  1. Not sure about institution. I am taking mine to Estonia, so it is might just be a random draw.
  2. We received ours on committee 1 - I am funded. Kind of shocked it happened but super grateful. Good luck to everyone else!
  3. I somehow managed to log into Extranet (forgot I actually had an account - had the SSHRC COVID extension) - nothing has been uploaded for me.
  4. I haven't received anything on this yet either. Glad to know I am not the only one.
  5. The e-mails seem to be for those of us without Extranet accounts - it mentions that we will receive instructions on how to activate them shortly. I wouldn't worry, results will be coming to us all (and good luck everyone!)
  6. It seems like they are going out in waves - I got mine only a few minutes ago.
  7. Ok good to know. Hope to see something like that soon as well (I don't have an extranet account either).
  8. Out of curiosity, was this a response to an e-mail you sent them, or an automated e-mail you received?
  9. I didn't receive an e-mail either, so I am glad I am not the only one. Here's hoping we hear this week!
  10. It would involve more education, but given how big Data Science is as a field right now, doing a 2 year MA (combined with my work experience which should help me) isn't such a bad trade off if I don't get a SSHRC at this point. I won't be giving up academia, just making a shift if that happens. Here's hoping we hear something in the next week or two!
  11. This is the big question I am sure is on all of our minds right now. I actually work in educational technology for my university while I am finishing my PhD, and I am pretty lucky in that there will be a permanent position there if I want it. That's a big if. While the field is interesting, my PhD has nothing to do with it and I would much rather get the post-doc and continue on. Also thinking of perhaps making a move into another discipline (Data Science) at a German university if this doesn't pan out. But it's all up in the air until SSHRC results come in.
  12. Glad to see some updates here - a bit nervous and kinda can't believe that it is almost here. I hope this isn't too nosy of a question, but I am curious where people will be taking their post-docs if they are successful? Best of luck to you all!
  13. Good luck to you both! I know we are still a month and a half away from knowing anything, but here's hoping!
  14. Bit of a random question. I initially applied with one school in mind and was accepted, but turned down their offer to go to another school. Is there anything I need to submit to SSHRC to let them know that I am taking my funding elsewhere? The original school sent me a bunch of random emails even though I turned down their offer months ago.
  15. To those waiting in Montreal - received my letter this afternoon. Good luck to all those who are still waiting!
  16. Sorry to hear that, not sure why they are being inconsistent like that. If it helps, I am an MA student at Concordia going into a Ph.D. at McGill, so not sure if that had any impact on it.
  17. Just got a response back from my university (was super quick!) - was awarded SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship. To all those waiting, an email might help alleviate the stress!
  18. I sent an email as well (I am at Concordia) and will let everyone know what they say. Congrats to all those who have found out!
  19. Good to know, I am waiting for the mail to be delivered here (in Montreal) to see if anything shows up. Highly doubt it but that tiny sliver of a possibility is still there! Also, if there are any other fellow Quebeckers/Québécois(e) on here, we should know about FRQSC next week as well...
  20. Just taking a quick look at it, it appears they are all MA students...? That might be why they are being so open with it.
  21. This feels weird that a prof in Lethbridge has leaked this info - it isn't like his students already have letters and we don't. I am confused in the process of how schools know this (I am an MA going into PhD at another university - would my current school know if I got one?)
  22. I normally wouldn't have noticed or gave it a second thought except for the person was in a city of a school I applied to and they looked at one of my papers that I have on my profile that is related to my PhD proposal. Of course, I could be just making something out of nothing, but having heard absolutely nothing about my applications thus far it was a fleeting moment of joy/anxiety/confusion.
  23. Out of curiosity, has anyone seen increased activity on their Academia.edu profiles as of late? I saw on my analytics that someone was looking at my profile last week and I have a sneaking suspicion they were from one of my schools.... Which could be good? Or inducing even more anxiety...?
  24. In my experience, McGill tends to be the last school to send out acceptances. When I applied for my MA (in Art History) I heard back at the end of February (like the 27th or 28th). It probably depends on the department as well. I am currently waiting to hear if I got into the PhD in Communication Studies, and from the results forum it looks like early March...
