  1. Thanks for the response. I just needed someone to tell me to make my brain shut up and stop reading into everything. Stupid brain!
  2. So I didn't post about this in the results page because I was not sure how to report it: I got rejected from one of my top choices, and the rejection letter referred to rejection from the wrong program. I am not only unwanted in my program of choice, but apparently others as well. I was going to call them and ask what happened, but I feel that my life is already depressing and awkward enough as it stands. Womp. Womp. Womp.
  3. I have a weird question/situation... I have gotten rejected from every school so far, and am waiting to hear back from 3. Well, on a whim, I decided to try and log in to one of the school's student portals. I used the "forgot my username" and they recognized my email and sent me my username, and then I did the same with the password. I was sent a temporary password and was able to reset it and log in. I poked around a bit. I did not activate my email account although I was given the option and had an email address with the school, just in case it was a glitch in the system. I did see that I had been assigned a student ID number, which was not anything that I was assigned when I applied like an application ID number. This school has not sent out any rejections or any acceptances. I guess I needed to share this. I am hoping that I actually got accepted, but more than likely I feel that it was a glitch in the system, and I just somehow tricked the system into recognizing me since I had an application in at the school...I don't want to get my hopes up, but just wondered if anyone had any similar experiences, or if the waiting has finally pushed me over the edge into trying to find something that isn't there. Thanks...
  4. I've just been watching Frozen on repeat with my cats when I'm not working if that tells you anything...that's where my mental stability is.
  5. I have sent the reminder email 2 times. Once in October when I originally sent it, and again on 12/28. I noticed on December 28 that a reminder had been sent out on 12/24, and when I logged in today to check the status of my application, the system showed that another reminder email was sent out on 12/30. I guess I'm just not sure why the reminder has been sent out two more times without my knowledge when none of the other school's systems have done that.
  6. Hi. So one of my LOR writers has yet to submit his letter, but still has a few days until the deadline. I have already submitted my application, and it is currently under review. I logged in today to see if he had submitted it, but he hadn't. However, I did notice that the date of the latest reminder email to my last LOR writer had changed. I sent one out on 12/28, but the last one was sent out on 12/30. Is this unusual? I noticed this happened earlier with the same school after I submitted my application a few weeks earlier. A reminder was sent one out on 12/24...which I did not send out either. So now my LOR writer is probably super annoyed with me, and I'm confused as to why the date keeps changing. My question is: Has a university ever sent out a reminder to a LOR writer? I figure this is the only possible explanation because my application is otherwise complete and under review. Thanks.
  7. I almost died of awkwardness for you just reading that. Honestly though, that is a brilliant share and I feel the insane urge to Google all of my POI's names now...
  8. One of my LOR writers waited until an hour before the deadline on Dec 1st to submit to one of my schools, and then made a joke about it when I saw him in class the following day. If looks could kill....the look I gave him.. He has yet to write any of the other letters that are due very soon. My other letter writers are pretty on top of it. As far as emailing professors to remind them, I don't know everyone's personal relationship with their professor so they will have to be the judge of that, but I had to email this particular professor every couple of days the week prior to the letter's deadline. He just kind of forgets to do things/waits until the last minute. I am sure that I will have many a sleepless night now until the last of the application deadlines..
