  1. I wanted to thank everyone for answering all of my questions. I was able to find a great apartment in a safe area thanks to all of your experience!
  2. Hi! I will start my MSW in the fall but I want to do macro work involving mental health awareness and outreach.
  3. At my undergrad parking on campus was like 300 for the year lol. How reliable is the Campus Circulator? I've been looking and I can take the MetroLink and then catch the Campus Circulator or I can just take the Metrolink into campus? Parking at Forest Park sounds great but it seems to be about a 15 min walk to the social work, which I'm not sure how feasible that would be in the winter? My undergrad was always super crowded in terms of parking but there was a free lot on campus if you were willing to walk a little further. Right now I think parking at Forest Park is my best bet but will my car be safe there? Is it safe walking there at night alone?
  4. Thank you! Jeez the yellow pass is expensive. I'll probably take my chances parking at Forest Park and taking the Metrolink.
  5. In thinking about housing, I was wondering how is the parking on Danforth campus at WashU? If parking was really crowded it would be beneficial for me to live a little closer but if it isn't too hectic then I could probably get away with living a little farther.
  6. I did get an email from one of the positions to set up a phone interview. I haven't heard from any of the others yet, but I'm excited!
  7. Hi! I'm not able to attend but I hope you have an awesome time =]
  8. I think the ones I applied for all decide mid April. Do you think they will do interviews?
  9. Has anyone heard anything back from the committees?
  10. Hey! I just addressed mine to the committee because I wasn't sure which faculty to send it to, and named the letter after the Fellowship. Good luck!! They said that we should hear back Mid April.
  11. BreakerBreaker you have been such a great help! I don't plan to move until right before school but now I have a great idea of neighborhoods that I should stay in =]. What about South City? Is that a pretty good area?
  12. Thank you! Yes pleasantly surprised. I am looking to be in a safe area, I'm not sure if I will be able to visit before I start school (which sucks). Are there any other areas that I should keep on my radar or stay away from in general? I would not mind a 5-20 min drive to the Danforth campus but I don't want to stay like 40 mins since I don't know the area (as far as shops, safety, and things).
  13. Hi! I am coming from out of state and I am SO surprised about these housing prices. I am looking to live alone with a dog, near the social work campus but I am bringing a car with me. I love the idea of being close to parks and cultural areas. Are U-City or Skinker/DeBaliviere good options? Thank you!
  14. I heard that I would hear by the first and that I had to make a decision by the 15th, but nothing yet.
  15. I would definitely call and continue to check on the "missing" documents so that your apps can move forward in the process.
  16. Thank you! I have an exact idea of the kind of research I want to do. I have narrowed down the research programs that I want to work in, your advice was super helpful! I think I'll probably work on applications this weekend. How is your post grad fellowship going?
  17. I have officially accepted my offer at WUSTL! For anyone on the waitlist at UMich or UIUC, good luck!!
  18. Still nothing from financial aid. My letter said before March 1st.
