Received a rejection email from UCSD at midnight. Wow. That's 5 rejections now.

Rejected from Western (via email). Damn. That one I was really hoping for. *cries*

I emailed him back. Said it was "the kindest rejection I've received so far. A+."

I'm in the same boat. If it makes you feel any better, Pitt rejections for HPS went out last week. I got mine on Friday. So if that's your program maybe you're still under consideration? I hear you though. Now I have to go stare at a number of papers I'm not actually going to read for my seminar.

Basically the same. I have one official rejection and two implied, but other than that ... who knows?

Oops! Should have posted here. Yeah, rejected from Pitt HPS. Though, after careful consideration, I've decided to reject their rejection.

Update: Received rejection through postal mail. Ah well. *sigh*

Well, I think we can discount Pitt today. Sad, I was hoping. Although I'm waiting for HPS, not Phil. Also, I guess I can count at least one presumed rejection from UCSD.

I see an HPS acceptance from Pittsburgh, but it wasn't me...

That's a hard thing to hear. I would probably read that at least one of your letters (of the two they received) was less than enthusiastic. Also, be really aggressive with your professors about getting letters out on-time. I would email them a few days before each date if they hadn't sent them yet and reminded them. They're extremely busy and often need the prodding to remember what to send where.

Sympathetic anxiety? We really need a(nother) hobby
