  1. @MJDRPH Health Policy for me. Hmm....I wonder if all of the Departments are on the same timeline? The HPM folks told me we should hear back this week, but told another applicant that it was last week. Either way, it's kinda late when compared to 2018. Good luck!
  2. @MJDRPH Thanks for the update! I've been checking email nonstop, hoping to hear back today. Which concentration did you apply to?
  3. Agreed, it is early! They sent the email around noon today, and I was shocked because I wasn't expecting a decision until late March.
  4. I hope they let us know today! GW is the last program I'm waiting to hear from. I was accepted to UIC, and they gave a deadline of March 16 to accept/decline. I would at least like to have next week to figure things out and make a firm decision. By the way, how'd your interview with GW go? Compared to my other interviews, the vibe was a little off with this one. I don't think it was a bad interview, but I don't feel like I connected in the same way as I did with other interviewers. Of course, it could've been all in my head, and it was a rough day at work.
  5. @DrPH Hopeful I interviewed last week and received official acceptance yesterday via email. However, they still haven't updated the portal to reflect that. Fingers crossed that you hear good news soon!!!
  6. I called GW not too long ago, and the answer I got was soon. That's it......just soon. No intel whatsoever. So I hope that means tomorrow. But during the interview, they said no later than the 2nd week of March.
  7. Of course! Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.
  8. The website used to complete the supplemental app. https://applygrad.uic.edu/account/login?r=https%3a%2f%2fapplygrad.uic.edu%2fapply%2fstatus
  9. No problem at all! I requested the waiver before applying to the program. I sent it to the program director of the leadership concentration, and then he forwarded the letter to the director of the college of graduate studies. Once I heard the waiver was approved, I officially submitted my app in SOPHAS. They followed up with an interview a few days later. I don't recall paying a supplemental fee
  10. Darn. Mines finally updated and I didn't make the cut. Congrats to everyone else who did!!! I'm so excited for all of you!
  11. @jace_PH Congrats!!! Did they send an email or did you just randomly check the portal? Mines hasn't updated yet, grated I applied to the health policy track.
  12. @Inf_emgPH I was accepted to Georgia Southern's DrPH Program. They gave me a GRE waiver for my public health experience and not necessarily my academic background. I have a Masters in Social Work, but all of my work experience is/was in public health. I had to formally request the waiver through a letter to the admissions board. I haven't heard anything about whether I need to take any of the core MPH courses. But I imagine, if I commit to the program, my academic advisor will flag any prerequisites I need to take.
  13. I think it went well, though you never know. I spoke with the director and academic coordinator, who were both friendly. The asked me to talk about my public health experience, my current job, why USF, and what I was hoping to gain from a DrPH. They are still interviewing folks, so don’t lose hope! They sent the request a day before my actual interview, which means anything could happen this week. They plan to wrap-up by the end of the first week of March and send decisions out the 2nd week of March. They are selecting 16-17 applicants for the leadership concentration and 3-4 applicants for the clinical lab concentration.
  14. USF reached out this morning to schedule an interview for.......tomorrow. Yikes! Not sure if all interviews are tomorrow, but they sent 8 time slots and asked me to select my top 3.
  15. Just got confirmation from USF that the interview is the last step if you are being considered for admission. She couldn't confirm whether they were finished with the interview process though, which means there's still hope if you haven't heard anything yet.
