  1. I'm in the same position. None of the schools have let me know about funding yet, so I don't really have all my options in front of me. I was also thinking that we could get a bunch of Gradcafe people, like 20-30, and go in on a row house in Dupont
  2. I'm living in Asia, so my acceptances have all come while I've been sleeping. The email alert on my iPhone has become like a second alarm clock...
  3. I also made it for Asian Studies! Woohoo!
  4. Within a week we should receive an official letter (possibly email) directly from the LBJ school. That one contains funding info.
  5. I'm also Security and Intelligence. I really like GSPIA, although I haven't visited and won't be able to before I make my decision, yet the decision really comes down to funding. Hopefully, funding details come out a little bit sooner than late March.
  6. I don't think many humanities students in America pay for their PhDs. That seems like pretty poor research/writing on the part of the Economist, or the situation is different in the UK.
  7. I went 0/6 last year and it actually did help me reevaluate and focus my interests. I think it's easy to get caught up in the feeling that you need to go to graduate school at a specific time for a specific purpose but that's often not the case.
  8. Hang in there! The fact that you haven't heard anything is not a bad thing.
  9. No funding notifications until we get the official letter from the LBJ school. I'm anxiously waiting.
  10. I don't think there have been many acceptance notifications for the MPAff program. Most of what's gone up has been for the MGPS, which is the international politics program. That said, everything has been coming up on a rolling basis so I'm sure there are more notifications to come.
  11. Official email just arrived and PDF letter is now available.
  12. You're right, there is supposed to be a letter (according to Yeary's "decision timeframe" email). I can't find one either. My guess is it will show up when they send out the email notification.
  13. I don't think there is an official letter yet. Admitted students are supposed to receive a more personal letter from LBJ in the next week. Unless I'm missing something...
  14. Sorry, I should have noted that. MGPS and its my birthday = win ; )
  15. I'm in. I didn't get an email but there was a message waiting in the status check. I haven't posted in results so that one must be someone else. Good Luck!
  16. In at GSPIA. Funding decisions come out later. Good luck everyone!
  17. I don't think anything has gone out yet. They said they would start notifying this week but not necessarily at the beginning of the week. Shouldn't be much longer, in any case.
  18. I haven't heard from any of my schools yet. My birthday is later this week and I'm expecting rejections/acceptances to flow in any second. Last year I struck out on Ph.D applications. This year I've only applied for terminal M.A. programs. How this all turns out is anyone's guess... Alcohol will definitely be purchased in advance.
  19. I applied to the MPIA program. The email I received said that they'd release decisions sometime around the middle of March. That seems to be a popular refrain this year.
  20. Received my first news of the year; no FLAS scholarship at GSPIA. Bummer way to kick off the season.
  21. Cancerous Sunshine
  22. I applied and had the same problem. Like the above advice, I chose to mention a few details of the school that I found interesting, such as research centers. I'm also going to visit in a couple weeks, so hopefully I'll get a better idea of what they have to offer.
  23. barely paid
  24. hard knocks
  25. process manipulation
