It is actually Happy Friday! I got my first admission today after two ( assumed) rejections. Now I am really happy that I do not need to find a job after my graduation Huray... Goodluck everyone. This thread has saved my life in those dreading waiting days.

I assume I get rejection from one school today. I got interview on 21 st Jan; the professors said they hoped to get results within 2-3 weeks. And now has been nearly 1 month, no news come. On top of that, I just saw an update on the survey, one people got in on 31st Jan. Should I contact them next week lol... to get me out of anxiety for that school?

There are a lot of stories that applicants got rejected at their "safety" schools and then got admitted to their top choices. The decision process at one school is also different from that at another school. As a result, even though you got rejected for those 3 schools, do not lose hope yet. I am waiting for my results too. Good luck to everyone of us in this process.

If that is the case, it is really bad.. Does they allow you in-state tuition? If yes, I guest you may have to pay around 3-4k more in your first year ( total of tuition and accommodation in Texas).

From what I understand, you will get $10,560 stipend in your first year. The stipend will increase to $13,950 in your second year etc... I think it is some kind of TAship.

I was in the same position as you, waiting for the final recommendation letter. One lesson I get from the application is that LOR can come later than deadline (not later than 2 weeks is fine). Admission Committee knows that professors are very busy, and sometimes they forget. Because you have sent the reminder, just let it be. If there is no response until middle of next week, come to see her then. That's my opinion and how I did with my recommendator.

Friday last week, I received an email to ask for interview at 3:30 pm. I also received one interview at 8 pm on last Monday. So do not lose hope until the day is over. Good luck everyone ( for me too) ! Results, pls come to us, babe

Well, I got rejected from my top choice. This completely sucks. Do they all reply to your thank you email? I have sent out three thank you emails and only received one reply ( 3 different schools). I wonder those two school just hated me so much after my bombed interview so that they dont even bother to reply ( and it mean rejection lol)

I really think it depends on school, although we belong to different field. My first interview: I submitted my application 1 day before the deadline (1/5), and they called me to interview 10 days later. Some schools with 1/15 deadline have offered me interview, while my current school, with the same deadline, hasn't even gathered the committee yet. So I think that your schools may belong to "slow reaction" batch. With regards to those reasoning above, I still do the same as you, refresh grad cafe and email like hell...

Someone said " Waiting is happiness"... I think that it is happiness if and only if we got admitted lol. Refreshing the result page on gradcafe like crazy and read the comments to kill the time.

I really think you should, especially for some school in which you are on the middle of two sides. Who know this news can make or break, so just do it ( word by Shia LaBeouf with no plagiarism purpose )
