  1. @thunderflyI submitted the online application on January 30, but other required documents were received in mid February. I think this might cause the delay in getting the decision.
  2. @thunderflyAre you still waiting for the decision ? I am waiting too, and hopefully we will hear back soon.
  3. @Kashyap1985 I also sent an email to the graduate coordinator but still no reply back.
  4. @Lucky14Thank you. And did you apply for Master of Phd PE program? @Kashyap1985I am still waiting, so I don't know either lol. Best of luck btw
  5. Have y'all heard anything from TAMU ? I saw couple of people reported their decisions on Grad Cafe.
  6. @Pete_Eng2016My status still said under review. Waiting is not a good feeling lol.
  7. @Pete_Eng2016 Yeah thats why I don't want to apply for CSM. How many schools did you get in when you applied for Spring 2016 ?
  8. @JDeane For TTU, as far as I know they have really limited funding for incoming Master students. However, all of the Phd students here have some sorts of fundings (TA or RA). And yes UT is my top choice, but I will attend any school if it gives me funding. @Pete_Eng2016 I don't think GRE scores matter that much once you have research and working experiences. My GRE scores are low too.
  9. Here is my profile, GPA : 3.9 at TTU ( petroleum engineering major) GRE scores: not good haha Experiences: 2 summer internships + 1 semester of doing research at school. I applied for MS at UT, TAMU and TTU. Hopefully, we can hear back from them soon.
  10. @Pete_Eng2016 I haven't contacted A&M yet. I dont think they will tell us anything if we contact them lol.
  11. I applied for UT and A&M, but haven't heard anything from them either. I don't know why it's taking too long for UT to send out the results.
  12. Thank you for your responses! The average GRE for UT Austin is about 166 for Quant and 155 for Verbal. I know my scores are below the average but the deadline is December 15th so I have no time to retake it. I have 6 months of experiences through internships and one semester of research with a professor at my university. I was hoping that my GPA and working experiences can compensate for the low GRE scores. I know I can improve my GRE scores to meet the average of these schools if I can study for 1 or 2 months, but I don't really have time. Now, I am worried because my GRE scores can hurt my chances.
  13. I just took the GRE last week and scored 153 Verbal, 162 Quantitative and 3 on AWA. I only prepared a little over 2 weeks before the test because I didn't really have time; the school works in senior year eat up most of my time. I have a 3.95 GPA at a good university in the US. I also have two internships in the industry that I intend to apply for a Master Degree. I am wondering if my GRE scores can hold me back from getting admitted to good engineering schools like UT Austin and Texas A&M. Please help!
