Again, and I don't want to be a downer, but it's very possible they're using that language because the school hasn't finalized the recommendations from the department. They may also use it because while everyone has been accepted they haven't sent out rejection. It could also, though is probably unlikely, still be accepting people. Finally, you could be right that they mean to potentially dip into the rejection pool given an offer of admission is denied by the applicant, but that may be a really low chance of actually sending out more acceptances. From what I understand, most schools keep their rejection list on hold because of the potential of needing to dip into it given more people than expected denied offers of admission. But based on the past trends, this rarely if ever happens for most schools. I think this is also why we keep hearing from Berkeley that they "aren't finalized until March" or "decisions will be made by March" etc etc because they may have to do some pulling from the initially rejected applicants. Yet in the past, I've never really seen that happen on the grad cafe. Of course, I may be completely wrong in this case.

Usually a wait list.
-
I'm just going to go for it and say that I think they'll all come out tomorrow.
-
Stanford has released on a Saturday and a Sunday in the past. I'm not sure about Yale or Brown since they both seem to release at the end of the week on a weekday.
-
I'm pretty sure they're done, but I'm not entirely sure. I have a good source and they don't typically do waves of releases (even if they are busy).
-
What time what is posted?
-
I would say late February with rolling admissions. I'll cross my fingers for you that you'll hear positively from them.
-
The lack of releases is breaking my heart. So ready for today to be big.
-
I know what you mean. I was all prepared today to have to write these blog posts, but oh well. Of course, they'll probably all come out when I'm tutoring tonight and tomorrow morning.
-
I agree with this. To add, Stanford...who knows. If it's predictable at all, this week. Otherwise, I have no clue. Most schools should release within the next two weeks. So, that's exciting.

When you called Toronto, did you check for philosophy also or just the HPS?
-
Thanks. I appreciate that.
-
Yeah. If you look at the results pages for UConn as you probably already did, it's hard tell tell what at all is happening. I don't understand it at all. Rolling admissions? Frauds? Idk. So, I wouldn't count on much.

Yeah. You're very in the dark. You've got it! I'm rooting for you. It also doesn't really look like I need to. Look at those stats and schooling. Hopefully the paper matches that and I would say you're ****'n golden

Here are the dates I have: Feb 16, 2012--Thurs; Feb 21, 2013--Thurs; Feb 13, 2014--Thurs; Feb 20, 2015--Fri I would say pretty sure they'll be out Thursday or Friday. There's also a good list of dates on Ian's blog. I am still considering posting up an updated version of that list, but have somehow gotten really busy with tutoring these past week.

Maryland--not sure why i chose that day now that I look at the data. very inconsistent though. basically early march or late feb probably. British Columbia--mid-late feb to early march

Some people find this strange and other find it completely normal, but I freeze my bread sometimes when I know I wont get to it in time for the mold to take over. Just pop it in the oven or toaster and bam! amazing.

Awesome. Congratulations.

Awesome. I don't have a facebook so it would be great if someone could keep me updated on that if there is anything interesting.

Anyone willing to claim WashU or Penn State?
-
Crossing my fingers for you. Definitely a reach for all of us, but someone's got to get in.
-
I completely agree with this except for that my date is slightly different for 2013, but only by a day. Last year, they similarly had a very early deadline too. So, that does not explain it.
-
Dont know if this has been said yet, but I would appreciate a general Toronto call since I'm not too sure about it.

I've been wondering about that too. What does everyone think?
