  1. Congrats on all your good news and good luck in the interviews! also just wondering, is your UCLA interview for Archaeology or Classics?
  2. Thanks! I already have had some good news, so I'm not too bothered. But a rejection is always a little disappointing
  3. Anybody else apply to Berkeley's AHMA? Because I got my rejection notification today
  4. @likeavirgil Congrats on UChicago!!!
  5. @terraaurea Haha yeah, thank god you're a romanist and i'm a hellenist
  6. @terraaurea CONGRATULATIONS!
  7. I just posted in results, but I'm the one who got into UNC Chapel Hill Very exciting
  8. Hey, Feel free to message me (this site does that, right?) for my email if you'd like an in-depth description of what I did. However, here are the big takeaways: - I did not have German and I took an intensive reading academic German course. - I started volunteering at a museum. - I totally re-edited my writing sample and my statements. However, I think German was the biggest one. My recommenders all told me to take German after I didn't get in.
  9. I'm the IPCAA interview. It was an invitation to the weekend on campus, sent over email by the prof I was in touch with last year (when I was unsuccessful in the process). Very excited and nervous! So happy to make it even this far this year.
  10. Gotcha. Disappointing, but I figured. Thanks!
  11. Hey all, I have an MA in Classical Archaeology but have only been waitlisted and rejected by schools up to this point. Waiting on 3 more schools, but you know, starting to think about Plan B. Part of me wonders if my languages weren't strong enough in my application. I only took one greek class last year in favor of more archaeology and history classes. I'm wondering if I should get a post bacc or half of a post bacc. Does that sound like a bad plan? Or a ludicrously expensive one?
  12. Hey guys, Also Classical archaeology, also Greek archaeology.
  13. Hey all, I'm a new member, long time lurker. I'm a classical archaeologist who applied to Duke's Visual Studies/Art History Program. Anyone else applied there? Heard anything? I see one person posted an email on the results page but didn't add any details... Thanks!
