  1. I received my acceptance into the QME program early February and was sent information about the visit days happening on March 6/7. The department contacted me first, and then I got official notice from the grad division later. I had to register and log in through a separate website (not the one where we submitted our applications) to read the official acceptance, so I wouldn't rely on the regular website. I would just call them or email them at this point to see if they're still making decisions on candidates.
  2. That definitely sounds promising! Sending good vibes your way @juanmesh
  3. Congratulations to those that heard good news and sending warm vibes to everyone else still waiting to hear back! Got rejected from DAPS myself (not surprised - my research experience and interests weren't aligned with the program).
  4. @aebh615, I didn't have a formal interview. My POI reached out in January to schedule Skype call. It was very short notice but I wasn't asked any tough questions. He asked if I had committed to another program, as well as a few more questions about my personal background and how it relates to my research goals. He and the other QME professors thought I could qualify for some fellowships and wanted to maximize my chances of getting it. I didn't get an official offer until a couple of weeks later but in retrospect the call seemed like an unofficial acceptance.
  5. Best of luck in the next cycle! A friend has been rejected from most of his PhD programs (in a different social science discipline) as well and emailed his POIs and interviewers shortly after. They were very open to providing feedback via email or Skype. If they're busy now, the worst that could happen is they'll postpone the conversation--or say no.
  6. I got into the QME PhD program a week and a half ago or so. Email from department and then official email from the graduate division.
  7. First, wanted to say hi everyone! I've never posted, but I've been frequenting the site throughout this whole process so I feel like I've gotten to know some of y'all but selfishly haven't participated. In many ways, I've felt very supported and encouraged by the community here so thank you so much. I got the PhD acceptance call from the dean this week and had my interview in January.
