  1. Hey lolamrp, I haven't been to Venice in the winter but one of my friends studied there last winter and didn't mind the weather. Then again she's used to colder climates. It won't be freezing but it is damp and rainy.
  2. If you decided to accept the May internship send me a message! It would be nice to get to know someone a little before going
  3. Stay strong! I'm in the middle of midterms so it's been tough trying to stay focused. Even more so now knowing that I got in! If anyone wants to email to inquire I think you sent it to internship@guggenheim-venice.it
  4. I think it's somewhere between 20-25 a month with 5-15 new interns per month. I applied for May which is pretty soon, it would be nice to know if I need to be making travel arrangements or if I can just continue summer job hunting
  5. I hope we all hear back today! Although I was reading a forum from last year and it seems the emails were sent out over a couple weeks
  6. I don't know how you feel about going a little farther north but the University of British Columbia offers an Art History MA with a curatorial studies program. Also Carleton University in Ottawa does too.
  7. I wish I had applied to internships in New York like MoMa and the Met but between applying for grad school and scholarships/grants I barely had time to finish this one. I was in Venice two summers ago for a month on a study abroad course so I'm dying to go back. I think it's like 1 in 10 chance for the Guggenheim, probably even less during the summer, so fingers crossed for everyone!!
  8. My Italian is pretty basic too but I said it was "good" on my application. I'm still working on it so I figure if I actually get accepted I'll do a little Italian bootcamp to improve it. It says on the website that if you show an interest in the language and that you've taken steps to learn it then that's acceptable. But I've read past accounts online from people who get accepted and they spend the first couple weeks struggling because they barely know Italian.
