  1. Unfortunately no. They told me I could I contact the Dean of Students (at the time); however, despite several emails she never responded. When I asked who I should reach out to for this application cycle, I was told that she was no longer with the university so I assumed there was no way to get feedback. Also, got an email today saying that my application was received, is currently being reviewed, and the review time can take up to 4-8 weeks. Did you get one? I already got an email saying my application was received back in December so idk what this is about.
  2. Hey! I'm in the same boat, but I am reapplying (applied unsuccessfully during the Fall 2016 cycle). I did not hear anything back until the 3rd week of February (February 20th to be exact) last time, so don't sweat it. I think PH schools take their sweet time; most people do not get admissions decisions until mid-to-late February. Good luck!
  3. I received the email on the 11th of January and interviewed (over the phone) on the 26th. They said I would not hear anything back until the end of February/early March so they could be going through rounds of interviews until they get a good candidate pool. Don't give up hope!
  4. Hi All! We're in that very exciting and fun period waiting to hear back from schools *insert sarcasm*. So far, I've only heard from GW (Health Policy)-completed my interview this week and I think it went well so crossing my fingers that I will hear some good news in the next month or so :-) Sounds like all the departments are handling interviews differently so don't despair. Also waiting to hear from Tulane, Berkeley, Drexel, UT-Houston, UNC, and FIU (PhD).
  5. Congrats to everyone! I applied for the fall 2016 cycle and only got into one UGA (but no funding), so I took a year off to get myself together (lol) and will be reapplying to DrPH and a few PhD programs in the fall. For the USF applicants/interviewees, would you mind sharing your stats (GPA, GRE, research experience, etc.) if you feel comfortable)? @bark0142 @Drph applicant112 @FutureDrPH
  6. @Pszczolka thanks for sharing! I didn't get an interview either so I wouldn't be surprised if a rejection is forthcoming. I wonder why they are staggering the responses?
  7. @Love3 Thanks for the input! I was unsure...didn't want to seem like I was seeking an unfair advantage.
  8. So, I received an invitation to interview for a doctoral program in public health, and I am wondering if it would be a "faux pas" to contact current or past students regarding their interview experience. I would not ask outright what questions they were asked, I am just curious as to what I should expect regarding the overall experience. I am nervous because I live out of state and cannot attend the on-campus Interview Day, so I want to ensure that I am as prepared as possible and came make a "lasting" impression over the phone lines lol HELP!
  9. @ph_phd That's promising...If you haven't visited, the campus is BEAUTIFUL! Good luck!
  10. I got an email to check the website last night......for the big R! So maybe it's a good thing you haven't heard from them yet? Also, rejected from Drexel today :-( TGIF!
  11. Got an email from UGA about an interview on 3/23 in Athens. I'm out of state so they're giving me the option of a phone interview. Keeping my fingers crossed!
  12. I've been obsessively checking the results page and this thread. Finally started hearing back from schools so I decided to share the joyous *insert sarcasm* news. 1. Tulane -rejected 2/10/16 2. GWU -interviewed 1/28/16; rejected 2/15/16 3. Pittsburgh -rejected 2/8/16 4. Texas -rejected 2/20/16 5. Berkeley -anxiously waiting 6. UGA -impatiently waiting 7. Drexel- waiting with bated breath (sis got into the Clinical Psych PhD program-so excited for her!) 8. Columbia-waiting but expecting the big R 9. Harvard- waiting but this was a long shot to start with
