  1. Just to update my own question in case others are wondering: I received an invite from St. John's on January 30. All Rutgers school psych PsyD invites went out on January 31.
  2. Has anyone heard from St. John's or Rutgers School Psych PsyD programs?
  3. Fairleigh Dickinson in NJ also has an advanced standing (starting as a licensed master's-level school psych) PsyD program. I'm sure there are others out there!
  4. Hi all, Does anyone have any experience or know anything about using Interfolio for letters of recommendation to psych doctoral programs? One of my letter writers has run into some unforeseen circumstances this semester and has very limited ability to work on these letters. I thought using a service like the Interfolio dossier would help eliminate some of the work. I know that about half of the schools I'd like to apply to will accept letters through Interfolio (I called each one). My concern is that the letter will be submitted without difficulty, but that there are additional questions or forms that will have to be filled out for each school, which would make the entire process take about the same amount of time. My goal would be to reduce the total number of submissions he has to make. Thanks!
  5. That's good to know. My inclination was to not contact anyone, but I didn't want to miss a crucial step for some programs. When I did ask during info sessions whether it was recommended to reach out to faculty, the responses I received were pretty negative. It does seem bothersome to sort of cold-call/email someone like that, but in some clinical programs it's recommended so I just wanted to confirm. Thanks for the response!
  6. I'll be applying to school psych PhD programs for Fall 2017, but I wanted to ask this thread a question since you are seasoned experts by this point. This might be a silly question, but how do you know whether or not to contact potential POIs at a school before applying? It seems like a given for most clinical PhD programs, but the small number of school psych programs I've asked so far have said specifically *not* to contact faculty in advance of applying. Did you all contact POIs before applying? How did you know whether to get in touch or not? Thanks and congrats to everyone who got an acceptance this year!
