  1. your GPA is fine -- anything above a 3.5 is good (i got into programs with a 3.2)
  2. @dancedementia No problem! From what I understand they do not typically offer much financial aid and the tuition is definitely high. I was actually offered a 20k/year scholarship later on which was extremely generous and is probably very rare (and was a HUGE surprise). I'm not sure how that decision to give me that offer was made, but it is definitely a possibility.
  3. I went to Rutgers for undergrad. Busch campus is very safe. I would also suggest looking into Highland Park for apartments/houses. College Ave/downtown New Brunswick is really not that bad as long as you have some street smarts i.e. not walking alone late, avoiding dark desolate areas, stay alert.
  4. Hey there! I am also a Rutgers alum who just completed this application cycle after taking a year off to gain more experience. Your credentials look pretty great! My only suggestions would be to make sure GRE scores are competitive, work hard on your SOP, obtain EXCELLENT recommendation letters, and try to get authorship on a publication. For the most part, I got into almost all Psyd programs that I applied to and 1 PhD. To be honest, I'm surprised I even got in this round. With your credentials so far, I think that you would find some more success applying to funded phd programs. High quality research experience is definitely key
  5. I am planning on declining Rutgers School PsyD (seriously tough because I loved this program and it's where I did undergrad </3). Just waiting on my official letter from where I plan on accepting (just in case, ya never know) before letting Rutgers know about my decision. If you are on a waitlist for rutgers school psyd, hopefully you will hear somethibg next week!
  6. off the waitlist and accepted to UCSB! School emphasis in the combined program! Super excited, but now I need to make a decision between 2 amazing programs @AuntieGrandma sorry to hear about that but congratulations on other acceptances! i honestly just got lucky that a spot opened

  8. Hey there! I noticed that you've created quite a few threads asking the same question. Would you mind deleting repeat threads and just bumping (replying to your own thread so it appears at the top of the thread list) in order to reduce clutter? To answer your question, i've received and acceptance but declined the offer last week. Hope that helps!
  9. @AuntieGrandma How did you receive the update? POI's or admin? I haven't heard anything yet
  10. @Round2letsgo yes!! i am absolutely feeling guilt as well. part of me is worried that everyone in the program i'm holding will hate me for not giving a final decision sooner (although i know/hope that isn't the case)
  11. @lockman86 i have no idea i haven't heard back from TC at all in regards to interview invites or rejections... seems a bit odd that there is zero communication. For a second i forgot i even applied!
