Hey everyone! I'm a current MA CSE student. I will be there on Jan 27 to help calm any nerves pre-interview! There will be several of my classmates there as well, so if you have any questions, ask us tomorrow (Or Feb 3, the other interview day)!
Just relax, be confident, and be yourself! This program is really chill and we're all like a family - no need for uptight formalities! 

Got a call about my acceptance to UofT's 2 year MSW program. However, I accepted OISE's M.A. in Child Studies and Education program a couple months back. I was given the option to override that acceptance and put my deposit towards the MSW program. But I'm really confused! My original goal was hospital social work (only kind I want to do), but teaching has always been dear to my heart. Any insight or suggestions would be helpful!

The first 2 years don't matter anyway, it's the last 2 years that universities look at.
What do you care anyway? Don't have anything nice to say, then go away. They weren't bragging, they were stating facts.

4.0 last two years is not as impressive as 4.0 throughout. Don't try to brag about your grades if you hide half of your undergraduate  career. 

I'll be accepting my MA CSE offer and rejecting my MT offer, so hopefully someone waitlisted gets their offer soon!

Those applying to advanced standing have to answer the same question. Personally, I discussed a couple of skills I have that are relevant to social work (i.e. empathy), and how these skills have been demonstrated in particular work experiences. I addressed the next part by discussing which marginalized groups I have worked with and what I have found through working with such diverse populations. 
If you're someone who is coming out of school, you might not have as much volunteer/work experiences. In which case, I would just elaborate on one or two experiences you do have. I think here they're really just emphasizing the fact that social work requires a lot of understanding and they want to make sure you're someone who would be comfortable working with all types of people.
