  1. There is absolutely not for 90% of the classes. The whole point of the distance program is so you can partake in synchronous learning with the rest of the cohort - can't contribute to the discussions if you're not there.
  2. I'm currently in the ENMU distance program for my master's, and overall it's been a great experience! I have to caution you that it's not entirely online - you have to spend the first semester on campus. If you get Bs or better in your classes, meet the "academic outcomes" for each course, and get a passing review from your clinical supervisor, you're given the green light to return home and take classes online. Also bear in mind, you're finding all your own clinical placements as well, and the program is highly competitive; I had a 4.0 and good GRE scores, and still was placed on the alternate list before being accepted into the program. Like other posters have suggested, retake your GRE and see if you can't boost the scores a bit. It's never a bad thing to do!
  3. I'm currently attending and living on campus. From my understanding, it's mostly drug related offenses and car break ins. But truth be told, the only thing I've ever seen here was 1 fight that broke out between some underclassmen. Never felt unsafe at school or the surrounding areas, or in my apartment at San Juan Village.
  4. I got a letter about three weeks after my initial wait list letter. But some people were called in as late as the first day of orientation! I'd take the GRE, just to be on the safe side. You're going to sink A TON of money into a grad program - $200 more is a drop in the bucket in comparison.
  5. Alternate list and wait list are the same thing. I was on the alternate list for Fall 2016 and got accepted.
  6. Hi guys! I was accepted for fall 2016 and made a Facebook group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/231511287206448/

  9. I just got accepted after about a month on the waitlist. Spots still open up in May as well, according to the letter, so keep on hanging in there!
  10. I did! Are you offered a choice between a thesis or comps? If not, how do you prepare?
  11. I got my waitlist letter a few days ago as well. I've heard from others to check in periodically to let them know you're still interested, and inquire about the online courses offered to prove you're serious. Waiting a few more weeks to see if anything changes (as they said spots typically open up March-May since people decline), and then emailing the department head to express interest.
