  1. My GPA was a 3.93 when I applied, but my GRE scores weren't great. They were 144 in Q and 151 in V.
  2. I looked at my portal and it said I have been admitted! I have not received an email from Dr. Stillman yet, so if you have not looked at your portal recently you probably should! I will be starting this Summer!! Good luck everyone!
  3. Him and I have been in contact since late last summer because I did a campus visit and he wanted me to follow up with him about a few different things. I am going to Dallas next week to look at housing - I planned on moving to Dallas even if I did not get accepted and he knew that. So I asked him if I would hear back before I went to go look at housing next week because that would effect where I looked to live and that is when he told me I will be accepted. From talking to him and one other staff member, it was expressed how busy this and next week is for everyone there. His email stated, " UT Dallas is having its re-accreditation site visit all next week and Callier is being visited on Monday. It’s basically consuming all of my time because we have to keep producing documents for the site visitors. I think there are probably a lot of students wondering what’s going on with admissions." Personally, I would wait and see if you don't hear something by mid-next week. I felt odd asking him about the time frame of when I should be hearing back, but since I am going down next week to look at housing I felt the need to. I hope you hear something soon! Good Luck!
  4. Thank you!! Trust me I feel your pain haha this is my dream program that will allow me to specialize in the area I have dreamt of since I was little! I hope you get in!!! is UTD your first choice?
  5. Sure! My GPA when I submitted my application was 3.93 and my GRE was pretty low at a 295. However, I have had many clinical experiences and strong letters of rec. Dr. Stillman actually told me informally that I will be accepted, but the official acceptance will hopefully come tomorrow. So I am guessing that they have the majority of people separated into being accepting/declined and they are just slowly sending out the official decisions. I am an out of state!
  6. Dr. Stillman said that next week they are being reaccredited and this has taken most of everyone's time for getting ready for that. He said admissions is a little behind compared to in years past, and not to worry! He said I should hear hopefully tomorrow.
  7. Congrats!!! did Dr. Stillman email you? are you an out of state or in state student?
  8. Hey guys! So I talked to Dr. Stillman and he said they are working from the top down (accepting best candidates) and bottom up (denying worst candidates) so that means if you have not heard back yet and your application was completed a few months back, you are most likely somewhere in the middle. He also mentioned that there are very few in state tuition scholarships this year, therefore they have been very reluctant to accept out of state students since the cost of attending will be high.
  9. @Brittanymarie @lbh33 I still have not heard back either and I applied mid November! They are my first choice as well. I wake up every morning hoping that it will be the day I hear back from them, and the waiting is awful!!
  10. @SLPLiz I feel like it should be any day now. Last year people started finding out January 22nd!
  11. For anyone that has applied to UT Dallas, have you heard anything back yet? I applied mid November for the Summer 2018 semester. When I go to the galaxy portal to look at my application status I noticed that on my to do list "final college transcript" has been added. I know "Official college transcript" will always be on your to do list, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed that "final college transcript" was also added to their portal? I am hoping that is a good sign since they only need that if you are accepted?! It is my 1st choice and I am super anxious to know if I got in so I can start looking for places to live! I am moving from Ohio, so the sooner I find out the better! Also, if you have heard back did you receive any funding? Thanks!
