This may be obvious to some of you but I'll say this anyways. 
If a program is truly your top choice, and if you will say "YES" if an offer was extended, LET THEM KNOW one way or another.
As an applicant 5 years ago, I let my top choice know that if they made me an offer, I will accept. They did, and I did.
Now as a faculty, I ask applicants how they would feel if we extended an offer, and you bet I will make the first offers to someone who I know will say YES first. 
Now, obviously, I'm not advocating you lie. In academia, everyone knows each other and false promises may come back and hunt you. But if you have a top choice in mind, don't be shy in letting them know that. A lot of the times, the top 2~4 candidates are equal, and in those cases, one bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush.

Best of luck to you both! Its not easy applying to something as competitive as graduate school multiple times so hopefully your POIs see your dedication to the field.

Thanks 8Bit  I also have a offer of admission from Harvard as well. But it is from my POI. He has asked me to wait for the official letter from the department to reach me. I guess once all the offers are in, I will be able to see where I would like best to be (fit, stipend, school). But yes, it's a good place to be in right now

BTW gonna echo stereopticons on this. There are a few members here that I've accidentally found on other boards I frequent. If a current grad student took your comment personally they may try to help the program 'dodge a bullet'.

Not to mention faculty and administrators do read these boards. If you're trying to put your best foot forward for an interview, this is not the way to do it.

Lol people you're overthinking the hair. Wear it however you feel more comfortable. If you know you're prone to fiddling with it then put it up/back. Just bring a light mousse or gel and the night before French braid and bobby pin so next morning it will be less frizzy and you won't have to mess with it as much.

University of Missouri at Columbia's interviews are this weekend, so I assume if you have not heard, that you did not get an interview.

Agreed! The idea of stalking other applicants is really depressing to me. Like dude, relax, just be yourself and everything will fall into place. This isn't some secret ninja mission to bring down everyone around you and everyone is not your competition! Seriously, that kind of behavior is so odd to me and things are stressful enough in this process. What do you hope to learn about others online anyways, and what are you gonna do with that information lol?! They may actually be your future classmates/friends...

I don't know why but I find the entire 'looking up other applicants' thing pretty sad. I mean yes having achievements is going to help but there's more banking on an applicants personality and fit at this point. Why psyche yourself out by comparing?! But then again I remember some of the type As I interviewed with last time. It was hard getting them to have a non-academic conversation (talk about your freaking dog or the time you streaked in pre-k but stop talking about all the honor societies you're president of!)

When they sent out invites it was a generic letter so it may have been a mass email. But you should call to confirm, they're pretty helpful.
