    Maybe I'm mistaken, but I got the impression that CalArts doesn't have much in the way of funding offers. Could be the reason for fewer applicants? I met a CalArts photo professor at a portfolio day and really appreciated what he had to say... unfortunately price is a huge factor for me. Plus he told me that they wouldn't let me use one of my favorite printing substrates in the department's large format printers, which is kind of a deal breaker Congrats though! It's an awesome school either way.

    Sorry to everyone who got Yale rejections, but don't despair too much... it's not the be-all-end-all. One of my professors in undergrad was a Yale grad and didn't seem to enjoy the experience much. I've also seen Yale grads who are still adjuncts getting shuffled around multiple universities, versus younger artists already in tenured positions. No one school is a golden ticket.

    I wouldn't really bring them up unless they're relevant to your work, or the conversation is just flowing really well. I'd hate to walk away from an interview and realize I ended up talking more about (whatever topic) than my art.

    Congrats!! Best of luck with the interview! Just got a rejection email from them, but I wasn't too hopeful anyways. I'm just glad I already got an acceptance and an interview request from other schools before that, haha.

    Does anyone know (based on past years) when Northwestern might start sending out rejections/interview invitations?

    Congrats to everyone getting interview invitations! Got a call from SAIC today for an interview. Not sure if I can make it to campus; hopefully asking to do a Skype interview isn't too big of a strike against me.

    @franster Thank you! Photography I wouldn't read too much into not hearing back yet... could still be interviews to finish up etc. Fingers crossed for you though!

    I'm not sure how much Carbonmade will let you edit by hand, but there's a small bit of code from Google Analytics that you can copy/paste into each page of your site if you're interested in having Google's statistics!

    Accepted to Tyler! Only downside is that they want a decision from me within a few weeks... but I doubt I'll hear back from many (any?) other schools by then. My decision will be highly dependent on funding, so I want some options.

    I was notified that I'm a finalist on Sunday afternoon; did a Skype interview during the week. They told me there were a few more candidates to interview still, and decisions would be sent out maybe a week after they finished. Looks like you applied to the painting department, so I'm not sure if this helps at all (I'm photo), but just figured I'd mention it.
