  1. I have 1 interview and 2 programs I haven't heard anything from...we'll see I guess.
  2. If I haven't heard anything from a program by now...it's probably bad news, but is there ANY hope at all?
  3. This past weekend I went to Palo Alto University and I absolutely LOVED the program and all the faculty/staff. However, the program is so freakin' expensive, and it would be a cross-country relocation for me. I'm not sure if I should make this commitment. Does anyone know of any other practitioner-scientist (Vail) model PhD programs I could look at for in the future?
  4. Cool so how do we formally file a complaint about something without derailing a thread?
  5. LOL yeah I had a heart attack and then it was like "Open-House Event" and I was just...
  6. Yeah, I would love a program that would help feed into a medical clinical doctoral program...Thanks for your advice!
  7. How did y'all find programs? I'm having such a hard time researching for legit programs online.
  8. So let me outline exactly what happened...I sent my GRE scores to the wrong place, so their program coordinator e-mailed me, asking for me to resend the scores. I did, and meanwhile I sent a screenshot of my scores so they reviewed my application. Then today she says, "I’ve reviewed your file once more and noticed that you indicated interest in our PhD program. Currently we are not enrolling students for that program, but we are interviewing for our PsyD program. If that is something that would interest you, please let me know. The faculty and I have reviewed your application and we think you look like an excellent candidate, but we wanted to be clear about the program we offer and gauge your interest." What did you e-mail say?? can you DM me if you don't feel comfortable with putting it up here?
  9. I'm officially super confused. I applied for their PhD program which was clearly stated on their website, but not they've removed the program's page and they're focusing on the PsyD program which is not accredited and no has graduated from that program yet. Also, I just got an e-mail from Mercer saying that they weren't going to enroll anyone in their PhD program, but they offered me an interview with their PsyD program. This seems pretty fishy to me...
  10. Someone on the results page apparently contacted Vanderbilt and they said they've sent out all their interview requests...if that person is on this forum can you confirm plz and maybe add some detail?
  11. Official title: "Coord. II, Graduate-Level Student Services "
  12. My professors submitted my LORs in early December, but I'm still waiting to hear from programs for interviews and probably won't know where I'm going until March or even April. I was planning on giving my professors a present as a thank-you for writing letters, but I'm worried about what this could imply. Should I wait until I've heard back from all the program I applied to? Should I be giving them presents at all?
  13. I'm from Georgia, specifically the Atlanta area, so I've always heard about Mercer growing up. They're a private school with a good reputation - especially for medical school. I believe their Clinical Science program is newer than their medical school, and I even saw that they were hiring faculty for the program, but they are accredited so that's good.
  14. Yeah...it was shocking to see them handle the situation so poorly. And then they also just forwarded a rejection e-mail. Like a professor wrote it out, sent it to the admissions person, and then the admissions person forwarded it to the applicants who got rejected. Just seems so unprofessional and careless to me. Maybe I'm expecting too much formality since it's my first time applying to graduate schools.
