  1. Hey, could we be in the same scholarship program? Where else did you apply to? Have you received admission news from other universities? I wasn't provided with any access to my application page, so I really have no clue as to where I'm standing on Korbel. Did you ask for the login info or did the scholarship program give it to you?
  2. Oh my God, you got into most top programs out there! So awesome! Which one do you think you're going to? Did you apply to both MPA and MPP programs at these universities? Why do you prefer MPP? Is it because it's in line with your current background, or future goals? So I'm guessing you'll probably opt out of SIPA both because it doesn't offer MPP and sufficient funding? Studying in NYC would be ideal but it comes with a price. Sigh...
  3. Thanks! I just received two pieces of awesome news: from SIPA and Fletcher (with 20k funding)! I think I'll decline NYU's offer of admission so I can focus on deciding between SIPA and Fletcher (and how to pay for the enormous tuition). Where else did you get into? It's great that you have other options with better funding! Money does matter a lot. SIPA's my first choice, but now that Fletcher offered funding, I'm starting to love Fletcher more, haha.
  4. Congratulations! Me too! Ecstatic!
  5. Did it specifically say that there's no funding, or that funding decision will come soon?
  6. I got in too. Funding info will come later. I wish everyone the best!
  7. Ah, yeah, I guess the page refers to tuition fee per semester instead of per year. So 10k is hardly "half tuition". Do you think you can negotiate? Anyways, congratulations! You're among the few who received funding from NYU Wagner and you should be proud!
  8. Congratulations! That's good news! I haven't heard anything yet.
  9. Judging from SIPA admission topics from previous years, we can't know for sure. Even when the admission blog mentions a particular date and hour, it doesn't mean that you will receive your decision accordingly, since they do it on a rolling basis. Let's just hope for the best!
  10. Today is the day! Who's excited to hear from Fletcher?
  11. I've been restlessly waiting for SIPA's results for the past few weeks. Receiving admission from other universities hasn't helped since SIPA is the only place I really want to go to! I really hope they'll release this week or next.
  12. Yeah, that's confusing. Did you contact the admissions office to clarify? I just checked the tuition page http://bit.ly/2fCgUFc and it says that If you take around 15 credits per year (degree requirement: 30), it will cost you around 26k annually.
  13. I didn't get any funding, so I have no idea, haha. I suggest asking the admissions office. Btw, may I know how much you're offered?
  14. Congratulations! I applied through a scholarship program, so I won't likely receive news from the university directly. I am hoping that the scholarship guys are negotiating for additional funding from Josef Korbel, hehe.
  15. Congratulations, @ELP14! I got in too! Don't think I can make it to the reception & admitted student day, though. Btw, did you receive any info on funding? I'm sorry to hear that, @baysbar94! Hope we'll both get accepted to SIPA!
  16. That's awesome news! Maxwell is quite competitive from what I gather, so congratulations! Let's hope we'll get more great news soon. So excited I can't sleep until March is over ?
  17. Hey, I applied to the same schools, with the exception of Syracuse Maxwell. I also applied to Tufts Fletcher, DU Josef Korbel, the New School, and ASU. I got in at SUNY at Albany and ASU. Still waiting for results from the rest. If you would share the latest news from these schools, that would be great! I'll try to do the same!
  18. Thanks for the heads up! May we receive good news soon!
  19. Columbia SIPA also extended their deadline, but results should be out according to the schedule. I think, from a few articles I read, it's been pretty normal for universities to extend application deadlines for the past few years to increase number of applicants.
  20. Hi @Stemlike thank for starting this thread! Too bad we're not in the same field, but I'm sure as fellow Fulbright candidates (some say you're not officially a Fulbrighter until you actually board the flight taking you to the promise land) we can have a lot to talk about. Congratulations for the acceptance @tere93! I am restlessly waiting for admission results despite having been accepted to one university, SUNY at Albany. Let's keep each other updated!
