I think for MIT they would send most of the acceptances in one batch. I think 2 or 3 years ago there was a glitch where they did not hide the list of all the students they sent acceptances to (someone posted the list of the students and then deleted it for privacy purpose)

I think if the guy indeed received official emails (not early congrat email from POI), then probably all acceptances should be sent out today.

Sigh it is April 14 and I am still on the waitlist of UMich. I hope that they could send me a rejection letter so that I could move on with life.

I called them today and they told me to expect the result by April 15. I don't know why it took them so long.

I am also waiting for Michigan. I really want to go to Michigan as well. It is my dream choice. Please reject your offer if you are not planning to go

Umich even sent out rejections for Stat master students but I still have not heard anything for PhD Stat. The only school I have not heard back yet

I am still waiting for decision from UMich. The last time I sent them an email, they sent me a generic email telling me that I am on a waitlist and I should expect the decision by 15 April (if not sooner).

Does a publication from a CS conference help much with admission to Stats program? One of my papers recently got accepted to a top conference in Natural Language Processing. I am thinking about letting the committee know about the update but I am not sure whether it will have any weight.
