    Is anyone else not going to have a car while they're in Boston? (I don't have my license for a few reasons but even when I do get mine I wouldn't have access to a car). Boston is very public transportation friendly, but now I'm worried about field placements for next year as I'm filling out BC's field placement application.

    Does anyone know if submitting BC's graduate financial aid application affects your scholarship amount at all? I filled out my FAFSA before applying but haven't sent in BC's own application in yet. I will do that tomorrow.

    I was on vacation since Saturday and just got back, so I don't know exactly when it came in.

    How long did it take for you to hear back about financial aid after the acceptance email?

    Just found out I got into BC!! I'm officially going and will be an RA on campus! Haven't gotten financial aid info but am also applying to some specific scholarships! I'm so excited!

    I just found something on my portal that says "Application Status" check, and it seems like everything was received. Hopefully I'll hear back by next month, the waiting game begins!

    Ah ok, thanks everyone! Since I'm an undergrad I already have an Agora account and I'm confused where the application would be. Not sure why they would tell us we'd get an email from the social work school then if they wound up not sending it to you guys.

    I have a question for those who applied to BC: When did you get an email from the school of social work that your application was confirmed? I sent mine in on 2/15, I checked my application again yesterday to make sure my final recommender submitted her letter, and I accidentally submitted it again and got another email from embark saying it was submitted. How long should I wait for the email to come? It said it could take a few business days because it's a busy time.

    I'm waiting on two other schools (Hunter & BC) but I like Fordham's program a lot, plus it's an easier commute for me to Lincoln Center vs. where Hunter is. I live in LI.

    Hey, thank you so much for your response! I'm thinking it may be due to lack of experience. My letter said "we were very impressed with your background and credentials," but I feel like they probably say it to everyone, and I don't have as much experience compared to others. I have a 3.44 GPA, I'm not sure if that's above or below the average. I feel better now though, and thank you, I really appreciate it!

    Hi all, Today I got a letter from Simmons saying that I had been admitted to the part time program but could not offer me admission to the full time program (which is what I applied to). I'm not planning on attending due to cost and living expenses, but does this mean anything? Was I not qualified enough to get into the full-time program, or was it due to space? I applied before the priority deadline. I'm also coming right out of undergrad (and I am not a SW major). Does this mean anything? Should I be more worried about getting into my other two schools? (I found out I got into Fordham the other day). Thanks.

    So I got into Simmons, but I was accepted into the part-time program. They told me I was not offered admission for the full-time program (even though that's what I applied for). Simmons wasn't my top choice anyway (too expensive, and I'd have to pay for room & board), but I'm a little bummed and am worried I won't get into the other schools I want.

    I have good news! I wound up getting an RA position at BC, so my room & board would be covered! Hopefully I'll get into BC and I'm praying they give me a decent scholarship!

    Hey! I'm also an undergrad and would like to be a medical social worker as well! I got accepted into Fordham yesterday and have applied to Hunter. I was interested in Columbia & NYU, but was deterred by the cost (now I know scholarships would have been possible, but it still is really expensive).

    I applied last month. It seems like in past years we won't hear about group interviews until March or April.

    That makes me feel hopeful! I just applied around half an hour ago. Hoping to hear back in a month or so.
