  1. Nope, I was doing an MA a little over a year ago and one of my friends was staying there. I lived on my own (expensive, but funding) which isn't really much of an option this time, so I'm looking at cheaper options. Anyway, don't take my word for gold, I could be completely wrong, but from my understanding they are less restrictive than your typical undergrad residence. The handbook also seems to convey this.
  2. From my understanding, this isn't a thing for GradHouse. The handbook says it's preferred that you don't have guests for over 3 consecutive nights or over 9 days within a given month, but it is not a hard and fast rule (http://gradhouse.utoronto.ca/residents/policies/, pg. 22). Roughly speaking, try keep your over night shenanigans to the weekend. Also, I don't remember there being any sign-in policy for guests when I was around there last year with some people. It isn't designed for undergrads, so they kind of assume that you are responsible. EDIT: Oh, and the $55/85 guest rooms are just so that if your mom wants to stay in the building but you don't want to sleep with her. I mean, i don't know, I don't judge.
  3. Dudes going for TALint, I had an interview with them on March 2nd for one of the positions, went terribly but shit happens, also the department I was interviewed for said it was out of their hands by the end of that week so if you haven't been contacted from the initial batch you might want to throw your hat into the second. EDIT: Since I'm here, if you feel like some light reading check out the syllabi repository if you haven't already http://current.ischool.utoronto.ca/courses
