Welp just got home and checked the mail and got an answer to my own question. Got a letter informing me that I’m “an alternate” for Vanderbilt.

Does anyone know anything about when Vanderbilt will be sending out acceptances? I interviewed on their visit day 3 weeks ago and saw today that some people received rejections over the weekend (I still haven't heard anything). Just wondering if anyone here's been admitted to the Graduate Department of Religion so far.

I don't unfortunately... I'm the only Vandy applicant I know and I applied to Historical Studies. I have a hunch that many of these schools send invitations out piecemeal by subfield, so who knows?

Greetings all! I'm new to this thread as well. Have apps out to Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Stanford, UVA, Vanderbilt, Boston U and UNC Chapel Hill. Had some phone chats with Harvard, UNC, UVA, Stanford, and Vanderbilt people back in the fall, but haven't heard much since. My M.Div is from PTS ('16) and as I remember it their visit days for prospective PhD candidates are as much a recruiting tool as they are a way of weeding through the the list, and I definitely knew students who were admitted without a visit.
