  1. To those who applied to the University of Minnesota (myself included) and have yet to hear anything, I am starting to get concerned. People were both waitlisted and accepted today, which makes me wonder if now rejections just have to be sent.
  2. To the person who posted on the results page a rejection from University of Minnesota, don't give up hope yet. I looked at previous years' results, and it seems like acceptances are sent out over the course of three days.
  3. Congrats! Did you receive an email from the graduate coordination like the poster above?
  4. Anyone else on here hear from Minnesota today?
  5. Congrats! How did you find out?
  6. Indiana and Minnesota are supposed to announce acceptances this week, per the graduate secretaries at both institutions.
  7. I have said this before (I believe yesterday) and I will say it again. Per the graduate secretary at Indiana, acceptances will hopefully go out next week. I was told this on Monday. At that point, decisions were still being made.
  8. According to the graduate secretary at IU, decisions were still being made this week. She told me that decisions will be announced next week.
  9. Yeah, I would also only recommend doing this if you've corresponded with him or her before.
  10. I can't speak to the quality of the minor, but Ohio State -- as well as Minnesota -- is quite strong in political psychology. That being said, I'm sure the minor is of substantial quality.
  11. In my experience, the department is not that responsive. I've sent two emails -- not regarding my status or anything, but general inquiries before I even submitted the application -- and I never got a response. Perhaps it would be best to email Prof. Reno, who I believe is handling this stuff.
  12. I'm wondering the same thing about Northwestern.
  13. Right. Next week is the week of the 19th. If they're sending applications out then, why wouldn't be hear from them by the end of next week, at least?
  14. I would also add Indiana and Minnesota.
  15. Waitlisted by Iowa about 15 minutes ago. I received an email from the DGS.
  16. With respect to Indiana, I spoke to the graduate secretary two days ago, and she said that she is "hopeful that decisions will be made by the end of the week, and that they will be announced next week." Don't worry!
  17. Does anyone know how many acceptances Iowa normally sends out?
  18. No worries! I wasn't sure if I misread your initial comment, either. Thanks.
  19. I was just asking how you would phrase the question to the graduate coordination. Because you stated that it is "legitimate to ask the graduate coordinations of each program" at this point, I was just curious as to how you would go about doing so. I'm not sure what's "bold" about that.
  20. How would you recommend asking the graduate coordinator about this? Should you let on that you know that acceptances have been sent out, and that you're just wondering about your application?
  21. I haven't received a rejection from Northwestern, either. Could it be that some acceptances were sent out, and that they are waiting to hear back? Depending on how many people the department hears back from, could more acceptances be sent out? I'm tempted to email the Director of Graduate Studies just to find out. Interestingly, some acceptances were sent out on 1/26 last year, and others on 2/13.
  22. Anyone claiming the Iowa acceptances?
  23. Anyone claiming the AP acceptance at Iowa?
  24. What are your interests within CP?
  25. Did anyone on here apply to the University of Iowa?
