I've just been waitlisted at UNC-Chapel Hill. They accept students off the waitlist every year, according to the professor who emailed me.

Same here! I must admit I feel pretty anxious knowing that NU only admits, on average, ~9% of applicants. Not that this is really any different from other places I've applied to, but I guess I've not looked into these data elsewhere.

You can tell by the salutation that it was a mass email.
"Dear First Name Last Name." Not just "Dear First Name." If an email was meant to be sent to one person, the salutation would likely have only contained that person's first name.

Congrats! I'm not sure who you're interested in working with there, but I've read some of Russell Dalton's research on comparative public opinion. He is great!

I have plenty of things to keep me occupied (e.g. prep for upcoming presentation, reading, etc.), but I'm finding it very difficult to concentrate for long periods of time.

My understanding is that there are still letters to be sent out.

I applied to Washington, too, and have yet to hear anything. My understanding (based on info from years past) is that some students aren't interviewed but still get in. It really is random. 
To provide some context, I had an interview with a top 15 program last week. I think it all comes down to fit. 

To those who have been accepted to Wisconsin, which subfields are you in?
