I wonder if you're his dog in the fight and he's trying to keep you in the loop as much as possible (although this information does seem a bit more confusing than anything else)! Good luck to all Columbia applicants! -

Is anyone else starting to lose their minds slightly? I just saw the UC Davis acceptance (congrats!!!) and I momentarily panicked before I realized that I had not applied to UC Davis ? -

Yes, that sounds promising! I don't think they would bother making POIs do marketing calls for the Masters! -

I applied to Michigan E&WS too!! Are they one of the ones you think might notify this week? I saw Michigan English is about mid-Feb, but have no idea about the joint program. -

From the list of projected acceptance dates, it seems like Berkeley generally notifies over a few days. @Warelin, am I interpreting this correctly? j -

Congratulations!!! Haven't heard anything, but it feels like between Vanderbilt notifying on Sunday and Berkeley (presumably) notifying on Saturday that all hours are fair game? It feels slightly less futile to refresh my email 30 times in 2 minutes. -

Just saw on the results page that someone requested UCLA acceptances/waitlists share stats--If that's anyone here, please feel free to PM. I'd rather not share exact numbers publicly, but I'd be happy to talk about my stats/qualifications privately with a regular poster. I don't think my general GRE or subject scores are particularly stunning though. -

UCLA English admission statistics: https://grad.ucla.edu/programs/humanities/english/#program-statistics There are already *4 out of what is approximately 24 on the board, so seems like a possible rejection At least we will know for sure soon; based on past UCLA English results, they actually send out rejections about a week after. Congrats to all the happy acceptances!!! -

Little bit nervous about the UCLA acceptance on the results board ? -

Same! None of my schools have started notifying, no interview requests, zip. I was starting to think I'd done something wrong even though I know it's pure coincidence! -

One of my mentors went there and she really encouraged me to look at Midwest schools for great funding packages. She thought exactly the same! -

If I'm shutout the one thing I'm dreading the most is telling my letter writers. I know they've gone through it with other students before and know this is a possibility, but still! This conversation would be really reassuring for me, too. -

Would anyone else be willing to wait 1-2 weeks longer and then just have a definitive date for when admissions decisions are released (and all decisions--acceptances, waitlists, and rejections!)? Maybe it's just because I've yet to hear a peep from any of my schools, but I do wish I had a specific date to check. -

Somehow I’ve managed to only apply to schools that haven’t yet notified! Anyone else in the same boat? -

Interview weekends must be expensive, but I wonder if they've been losing money on admits before. If people have dropped out a couple years into the program, they might be trying to front load expenses. -

I think you're one of the few of us that has this much information to track! A note on late emails--If it's a form email that automatically goes out when something is submitted in a system, then that might be why it was sent after standard working hours. At the university I work at, a lot of emails go out at after midnight when the system refreshes. -

On a completely random note, even though I acknowledge I'm feeling quite impatient right now as I didn't apply to any of the schools that notify in January, I'm also very impressed with the admissions committees who went through applications during break! Delivering interview requests and decisions just a little over a month after applications were due is impressive, especially considering it was through the holiday season.
