No, but I did email them and they said the graduate director and committee have met and decisions should be mailed out in a week or so. I got the response on the 14th. So hopefully they'll be mailed out this week.

I just got a rejection email from Ohio State. Such a random time to send them out.

Has anyone heard from University of Maryland college park?

Rejected from university of Illinois Urbana Champaign

Interviewed at Boston University in person today. It was pretty terrifying. I thought there would only be one or two interviewers and there were 8. Is that normal? I feel like I stammered a bit at first but did better towards the end.

My email and this forum. I still haven't heard from five of the programs I applied too!

Has anyone heard from Ohio state or university of Illinois Urbana Champaign?

Is anyone graduating from their BFA in June? I keep being rejected and am wondering if the fact that I am applying whilst completing my undergrad is working against me. Could this be a factor?
Same here. I've been told programs tend to prefer applicants who have had time to develop their practice outside of academia.

Rejected from Rutgers

Anyone hear from Columbia University photo? My slideroom still says MFA... Ughhhhh dying here.
Is there some give away about the status of our applications via slideroom?
-
@AndrewN I requested all my recommendations on the general application instead of slideroom, when I called the art department to see if this was an issue, I was told to just put my own email on the slideroom recommendation request areas. Now on slideroom it says all my recommendations were submitted on January 25th which is way later than when my professors had completed them so I figure the department just switched the recommendations over to slideroom for me.

I just got invited to interview at Boston university. I'm applying for painting.

@charoarte from stalking last years freak out forum, Rutgers first emails for interviews was February 10th.

Same here, I really liked the presidents of Northwestern outlook to the arts. I agree it is nice that they don't let students wait to hear their decision. All the best for the grads who will be accepted.
Rutgers is posting decisions online.
Rutgers is posting online today? Do you know if it’s decsions or interviews?

Rejected from Northwestern. I kind of realized while applying it really wouldn’t have been a good fit for me, but I was already so far in the application process, so not too bummed. Good luck to those who are still in the running!
-
I did, I haven’t heard anything yet.

If you guys haven’t heard of this site https://www.petersons.com/ has pretty useful information about number of applicants, number accepted, and acceptance rates. They had information for a little over half the programs I applied too.

@henryfive I just check google analytics and my email constantly even though I know it’s probably too early to hear back from anyone. The most stressful part for me was writing the statement of purpose. It was really hard for me to tell what exactly I should write and how much I should personalize them for each program.

I’ve finished all 8 of my applications. The fees for applications are ridiculous, and I’m hoping it’s worth the investment this year. Does anyone know when is the earliest grad programs tend to start sending out acceptance or rejection notifications?

This is my first time applying (directly out of undergrad). I am planning to apply to painting programs at:
- University of Maryland: college park
- University of Michigan
- Ohio State
- University of Illinois: Champaign
- University of Indiana: Bloomington
- Rutgers
- Northwestern
- Cornell

Do any of you guys have experience with deferment? Do scholarships normally carry though to a new term or are you re-evaluated?
