Anyone know approximately how many people get waitlisted at Northeastern?

I can relate to pretty much everything you said. CSDCAS is a nightmare. We have very similar GRE scores and GPAs. I applied to twelve schools and I am just hoping that I get one acceptance. I also have an interview at Mercy so maybe I will see you there. Good luck!

My hope is that the summer program is less competitive but it is still pretty unlikely for me. I think you are right about hearing from them in the next few weeks since the program starts so early.

I also applied for the summer cohort. I am pretty sure it starts in May. My guess is that we should be hearing back soon since the program starts so much earlier than fall programs. Good luck to you!

I requested three letters of recommendation from my professors. One got hers written right away but the other two have still not submitted anything and my first deadline is for January 1st. Many of my friends who asked these professors for letters have the same problem. When CSDCAS has an application deadline, does that mean it is the deadline for the applicant to submit her materials or that EVERYTHING must be submitted by that date?

I asked my professor to fill out an observation verification form for Sacred Heart's SPLA grad program. She did it but then said I should talk to my advisor before applying to schools that did not have full accreditation. I'm sure students attend these programs. How big of a gamble is it?

I applied to Mercy College and received an email today informing me that I will not be considered for their program unless I take a linguistics course that they require. It is not required for my program so I have not taken it. They will not accept course equivalents and there is no conditional acceptance where you have to agree to take the course during the first semester of graduate school. Be careful about wasting your time and money although I think it varies from school to school. Good luck!
