Hey all! Does anyone know when BU and SLC start sending out invites/rejections? They both had a deadline of Dec 15th and I'm antsy after hearing back from Brandeis so soon!

I'm not sure about SLC but I think earlier someone posted that Boston said they will be sending out interview invites no later than February 15. I'm anxious too and would really like to plan my trip to Boston and coordinate if I need to so I hope they don't wait till then!

But also, anyone else who works full time--are you a little worried?

I also work full time but in a research lab so I think I'm sort of lucky. I have a pretty flexible schedule and the PI is super supportive of me applying to grad school. I think I'll be fine with taking days off that I need, but I'm also working on submitting a paper with a March deadline so... the timing is really bad for me to be gone so much if I get more interviews. Also super stressed about how much all of this will cost! The price of flying to North Carolina alone is breaking my budget.

Hi folks! Random question, but does anyone happen to know when Boston interviews usually take place? I just got my first interview (Brandeis, yay!) and am trying to pick an interview date that would most easily coincide with Boston's schedule as well so I don't have to fly out twice.

Just heard from Brandeis as well! I'm wondering the same thing. It would really suck to have to fly out to Boston twice if I do end up getting an interview to Boston University.

  4. "It is Admissions season!! Members of the Leadership Team have been busy reviewing applications from a lot of qualified applicants and will be sending out invitations to interview by the end of this week."

Also the Brandeis University genetic counseling facebook page posted this today so it sounds kind of like we might have to wait until Friday to hear..

Anyone else started getting blanket "graduate school open house" or "check out our grad program" emails from the schools they applied to? I've gotten one from UNCG and one from VCU. Seeing the notification on my phone almost gives me a heart attack!!!! Don't they know we are barely holding on as it is?!?!

I got the one from UNCG too and definitely had a mini heart attack until I realized it was just a mass email. They have to know how cruel it is to send emails like that during this time ?

has anyone heard anything from brandeis? so classic they're supposed to start letting us know today and I haven't seen anything around the forum

I haven't heard anything but I'm hoping that it's because today is a holiday and people might not be working. Just trying to keep myself sane and distracted this week haha

  7. No problem! I couldn't find definitive dates like this for any of the other programs I applied to, just general time frames. I'm hoping South Carolina, North Carolina, and maybe Boston are earlier as well because they had early December deadlines but who knows. I have no idea how I'm going to get anything done next week. I already check my email way too much..

Hi! I couldn't find this information on their website. Where does it say this?

If you go to the main program page there is a green box that says "News and Updates" and a link to an "Admissions Information" page. It has a timeline on that admissions info page that says that date. (http://www.bio.brandeis.edu/genetic-counseling/index.php/admissions-information/) I just happened to be checking around and saw it recently. It really surprised me too, I applied to some schools with early December deadlines that don't even tell you until much later.
