I think it is, I asked them and they said “status of preparation for stay in germany” is one of the criteria. Even though I only have A1 in german. nope, both are informed at the same time.

I asked, they said after the committee meeting and that took place in February, so I think if we are unlucky they announce decision in March by the way, does anyone of you already learn german? I have seen that’s also a selection criteria.

I think we can’t take this case as orientation because for master they send the results earlier than for PhD! Just asked the daad and they told me status should be selection made before it is rejection or funding

End of August was my deadline yes I think they go by location and if I am not wrong in recent years USA applicants got to know it quite late.. to me they said the meeting is in February and after that they let me know

That could a good sign, couldn't it? I mean if it means they send out rejections first and after that the acceptances? But again really no clue

Ohh I am sorry, don't get influenced too much by what I said, I have actually no clue neither plus I applied for phd funding, so there might be a difference too.

I dont wanna take your hopes away but the discussions in recent years indicated that the "selection made" status should not last longer than a week for an acceptance :/ On the other side, its not selection made but preselection made for you.

Is your status paper copies received? I am not sure if everybody for phd receives the answer this month or if it depends on the deadlines / regions

Hi Muhammad, me too phd 2018-2019 but Region Latin America... however, do you know when you will receive an answer? What’s your study right now Inn the portal?
