Hello! I plan on submitting a re-application, but I'm also trying to figure out other things first such as where to live! Thankfully, the office told me there is no deadline to submit the re-application form.

Has anyone accepted their offer to attend UM? I'd love to meet who will be in my cohort!

If it's any consolation, I received my rejection email from UW for the day program this past Friday (it's ok, I really want to attend UM anyway). Good luck to you all!

I'm from Texas, but the only Texas MSW program I applied to is UT Austin. I'm still waiting to hear back from them, but even if I do get in, I automatically didn't qualify for in-state tuition. I've been thinking about submitting an appeal because I don't automatically qualify for in-state tuition for the state I've been living in for the past 1.5 years, Tennessee.

I got accepted into the UT Nashville campus and recently asked when to expect to hear back about any scholarship awards. Their Director of Enrollment Services, Jen, told me "scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of March, but it might be longer than that." Which is interesting since the deadline for my seating fee can't be extended past March 27th. I've been living in Nashville for 1.5 years and somehow got hit with out-of-state tuition. I'm hoping this was an error and I can submit a residency appeal to change this because my decision to accept their offer is solely dependent on tuition. However, I'd definitely encourage you to reach out to Jen if you have any other questions! She's been willing to help me with my out-of-state tuition issue.

Hi all! Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I hope this encourages other lurkers to become active in this thread. I realized I need to get connected to other future social workers because yesterday I also received my acceptance to UM. I come from a heavy research background and only last year realized that social work fit more in line with my goals. UM is definitely a reach for me so I'm shocked that someone with comparatively little social service experience as others I've read in here received a quick acceptance into the top program in the country. I've also applied to UChicago, UW, UT Austin (my home state), and UT Knoxville (the state where I currently live). If I get into UT Austin, it will be a tough decision between that and a southerner braving through a Michigan winter. I do plan on visiting UM soon to make my decision clearer. Curious, is anyone else applying to UT Austin?
