I am anxiously waiting to hear back from my schools. I know some of the deadlines have not even passed but I cannot wait to know. My schools are: -Teachers College at Columbia -Ohio State University -Michigan State University -Indiana at Bloomington -UW at Milwaukee -Loyola University -Northern Illinois University -Central Michigan University. This is my second round of PhD applications but first time for school psychology. I feel more prepared now as I am preparing to finish my masters in educational psychology and I have been working full time as a foster care worker. I wish you all the best of luck! I recently found out that Wayne State University is starting a new Ph.D. program in counseling psychology. I was wondering if anyone had applied to this or has any information about the program.

So my clincal psychology Ph.D. application round has not been going well and I am looking into backup options. I am thinking about doing an online masters program so that I can start working full time and continue my schooling. I am worried that online programs are going to be looked down on when I reapply for Ph.D. programs in the future. I am also worried that I would not be able to find enough people to write recommendation letters for me because the program is online and wouldn't have a lot of interaction with the professors. I would do on campus programs but majority of the deadlines have already past. Does anyone have any experience or advice that could help me out? I would really appreicate it!

Does anyone have any experience with group interviews? I've heard that one of my interviews is going to be a group interview and I want to be prepared.

The professor was pretty relaxed about. We talked about why and she seemed pretty cool about it. We were talking about the military which is close to home for me because I grew up in a military family. I was doing fine holding back from crying until she asked me why I was getting choked up.

I have heard that Psy.D. interviews can be different than a interview for a Ph.D. program. I was wondering if anyone could confirm or deny this or if they had been through a Psy.D. program interview and would mind sharing their experience? I am preparing to interview for a Psy.D. program soon and would appreciate and helpful hints I can get. Thank you!

I recently was invited to interview at George Washington University for their Psy.D. Program. I am very excited to go and interview but when I was looking over their program website I noticed I was unable to find information about a stipend. I am curious as to if any knows if this school does offer a stipend for their Psy.D. program? I know I could ask at the interview but it’s not for a few weeks and I’m anxious to know. Thank you!
