  1. Same! I checked my Baylor status just now. I'm a little nervous bc I felt confident about Baylor. We'll see. Let me know if you hear anything from them Also waiting to hear back from Stanislaus I hate that its taking soooo long!!
  2. Yeah I felt pretty confident about Baylor, but I guess not? I checked my status online, and it said " under review" so I'm not sure what that means, especially bc I haven't gotten email from them
  3. No email from Baylor Getting anxious
  4. Its online on the application portal . hope you found it !
  5. I am scheduled 2/23 for AM sesh!
  6. Me either Second time applying.. patiently waiting
  7. No from Stanford! I am a little sad, but knowing the requirements and status of Stanford doesn't surprise me. I wonder if they filtered by using GRE scores. My quantitative was just 51% percentile, which is the weak spot in my applications.
  8. Yeah last year we did rotations through Baylor Miraca Cytogenetics & CMA(chromosomal microarray ) labs. This year is just focused on our thesis project! I agree learning the chromosomal syndromes definately helps. Going through this experience really taught me that I want to have patients or just more personal interaction with the people I am helping out. Yes being in the hospital has a lot of perks, that is the same way I was able to shadow Hopefully cytogenetics will help us both
  9. Oh how cool !!!My track is cytogenetics. I wanted the molecular but got put in cyto track and just went with it. Hopefully will give me some credibility as a scientist in my applications! Where do you work?
  10. I am in an MSc for Diagnostic Genetics program. It's in a small school at MD Anderson called School of Health Professions
  11. Yeah I completely understand about the class size. I did consider it, but also though bigger class size is more chance of acceptance (maybe?) haha and 25-30 is not uncontrollably large but def. not the same. The program I am in now has a class size of 4 and we have all our professors numbers and sometimes just text them for help pretty funny and nice to be close with them
  12. Hey! Out of curiosity. I noticed you applied for Mt. Sinai but not Sarah Lawrence. Is there a specific reason you chose Mt. Sinnai over SLC?
  13. Yeah I think it would be great but since I am already in Houston I am looking for programs where I can do out of town rotations or even out of the country if possible and the program doesn't have those connections just yet! But I have received some emails from them asking for some application material recently and feel hopeful Stay in touch for any responses from Houston or SLC!
  14. Wow (fingers crossed) If i do get interviews it is going to be lots hahaha By the way I also applied for UTH, Baylor, and Sarah Lawrence. How do you feel about Baylor being a brand new program?
  15. For those of you who have previously interviewed, Are the travel expenses when going for the interview all out of pocket? (Flight, Hotel/Stay, Food, etc.).
