  1. I applied for a MS, but not at University of Alabama. I live in the South and know some professors that have ties with UA. In regards to other forums, The Grad Cafe is the most all inclusive and active place I have found to date.
  2. I haven't heard from them directly, but have some reliable connections with UA. As of a week ago I heard that they are on the last stretch of applicants at this point, the grad coordinator is basically in the process of filling in the last few spots. There may be hope yet, just say positive.
  3. I recently talked to one of my professors about this kind of thing, she said that students that have not heard back are not necessarily in a bad place. It will mostly depend on the types of schools you applied to. In general, R1 schools have mostly sent out offers, they aim to get their first picks and are in competition with other R1 schools. R2 and below are still pretty much game. There are other factors that contribute to the decision making process, including school size, funding, etc.. Of course, this is pretty broad. If you are in contact with your POI you may want to contact them for a brief check-in by the end of the week. Any others in the forum got any thoughts on this?
  4. Sounds to me like it would be a personal preference. If you feel more comfortable with handwriting (as I do), then by all means do that. Similarly, I learn the information more when I write it down rather than typing on a computer. Don't stress it!
  5. That is good to hear! I recently got back from some interviews from the grad school. They went well (hopefully well enough), and I have already contacted the MGMT. One of the students there spoke similarly of the Quad. The price makes up quite well for any downsides. Thank you for the response!
  6. Hey there, Though I am not a Philosophy major I was interested in your question. Taking into consideration the different denominations each school is (Baylor/Baptist and SLU/Catholic), I feel that it may be somewhat telling to what kind of philosophy you are looking for. In terms of Christianity, is there a denomination that you find yourself closer/more drawn to out of the two?
  7. Alright folks, I am going to try to bring this one back. Does anyone have experience rooming in the graduate housing offered by Baylor, or have you heard anything about it at all? Any information is appreciated.
