I just received the email confirming what the tweet said - end of April, via extranet. Just receiving the email so unexpectedly almost gave me a heart attack though. I have been able to put this out of my mind for six months, but no the anxious time starts...
-
Yes, I had the same experience, rejected on May 4th. And it was through checking the extranet, my email of notification (to check the extranet) didn't arrive until May 6th. It was such a stressful week! Hopefully it goes much quicker this year.
-
It does depend on your division, so I don't know about the others, but for Humanities I don't think they have been announced. An MSt History student claimed a couple of weeks ago to have received one, but that is very very unusual. I would expect they would go out first week or two of April, but since everything has been pushed back this year, it could take longer.

Let us all hope it is like last year, by email rather than by letter! Of course, it’s still an excruciating wait because it seems there are only a couple of people sending out the notifications manually. They came out slowly and in a random order, so many people heard through their school first. I didn’t receive my rejection until May 4, but I think they started on the 1st. oh, and my big research council funded purchase will be a trip home to Canada (should it be safe to do so)

did everyone else just get the email announcing the results are now available? ?? A bit late now, at least for most of us. Hopefully they improve the system over the next year, because this was extremely frustrating.
-
Can I ask what committee?
-
Got the results: only 2 documents. Denied. ?
-
ah yes, there I am. With a number in the low 3XXXXXs.
-
huh. Mine just says "my documents' (nothing inside) Can someone please share some good news on here soon?! Surely they didn't just hold rejections for today?
-
Sorry to hear!!! What an excruciating wait for bad news.
-
I really pity the people that are not on this forum and have no idea that they can (often, not always) check the extranet. Or maybe don't even know about the extranet! edit: Although, having gone through two days (plus the weekend) already of refreshing the screen constantly and living through the rumours with you guys, maybe they are the lucky ones. Not that I'm not glad to have people to commiserate with, and data to work with, but it has been quite a rollercoaster!
-
It’s hard to see how that makes sense since people in some committees got CGS-D with lower scores than people on waitlists in other committees.
-
I can understand that (although you would think in this day and age they could automate this) but it still doesn't explain why the order of log-in info and results doesn't match up in any way. Is one person doing one and another the other? I'm not sure they could have found a stupider way of doing this... unless it was like every other year and they were mailing it.
-
51 hours since I received the log-in email, and I'm dying here. Please SSHRC, don't make us wait through the weekend! (Direct applicant, committee 2)
-
I don't think that's the case, I received my log-in yesterday, but heard nothing today, no documents uploaded to the extranet. And a page back there are a couple others in the same situation. So it isn't a rolling situation, it is just random, or the pattern is indiscernible (won't stop me from trying!) Direct applicant, for UK school, number 0357, committee 2 (for those with the charts and graphs)
-
Congratulations!! That's interesting... and you will continue at an international school? That seems to go against the guidance, but don't point it out to them! Now you have got my hopes up (not really).
-
yikes! Both pretty important!

That’s postdoctoral. Doctoral has 5. https://www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca/funding-financement/apply-demande/background-renseignements/doctoral_committees-comites_doctorat-eng.aspx

Direct applicant with last name S, received at 1:57.

Yes, so many questions. Successful first? In order of application? By field? So many tea leaves to read! I guess we’ll just have to try to be patient and not jump to conclusions. Not long now!

at least by being sent out digitally, we don't have to wait for the letters to travel unevenly across the country. We should all know pretty much at the same time (Assuming the site doesn't crash ?) Do we know how quick it was for the NSERC applicants?
-
if only it had a date like the NSERC one! I'm going under the assumption its tomorrow, but who knows?
-
I wonder if it is total applicants, and then the final round, national level competition?
