I finallyyyyy got the rejection to the counselling psychotherapy program as well. so glad the wait for that program is over!

Finally received my official rejection this morning - honestly after how long they made us wait I wasn't super eager to go to Toronto anyway. Not at all impressed by their student experience or their ability to communicate! 
Congratulations to anyone who got in this year! ❤️❤️ 

I haven't either. However, I have it in my mind that is a matter of time before receiving the rejection. I honestly forgot I applied to this program- I heard back from my other applications and will be getting my MSW this September!

Has anyone else still not gotten anything back at all? This wait is beyond terrible...

I know some of you aren’t ready to hear this because I sure as hell wasn’t when I got rejected - but what is going to make us amazing counselors is who we are and our experiences not some piece of paper or where we get that piece of paper. Some of the most amazing counselors I have had got online degrees from places I hadn’t heard of and some of the worst counselors I’ve had went to prestigious schools. Let’s not let some academic/educational system define who we are and tell us what we can and can’t do. All of us here have the same goals - we want to help people and make a difference and if we keep that in mind and express our most authentic selves - I’m confident we will all find fulfilling work that brings us abundance. You are all amazing people who want to do good in this world; believe in yourselves and the universe will too ❤️ There are so many beautiful paths to the same destination. And one day I’ll meet y’all there ?

Hi folks!
Long time lurker, first time poster. I emailed oise.aphd@utoronto.ca to see if I could get an unofficial update (because this program's the last one that I was waiting to hear back on and the admission offer deadlines for other programs are coming up).
I was able to get the unofficial update that my application "will be recommended for refusal," as well as the fact that there were 702 applications - which is disappointing, but it's also nice to hear something and I'll be heading into U of T for a different program.
Thought I'd mention since it seems like a few of us are in the same boat of waiting - hopefully you can get an update as well! 

Seems like they're starting to roll out more acceptances... good luck to everyone tomorrow and next week!!!

Can't add any more reactions (lol) but I'm here with you all and experiencing similar frustrations, confusions, and disappointments.❤️  I feel like that fact that my life overall is super sucky rn isn't helping this waiting game either. I'd really love to get into this program (even tho UofT is super sus to me now) so I have something meaningful to do in the next two years; somewhere I can lie my focus as life passes by. But it's probably not happening and I'm feeling more lost than ever.  
This sucks for me and for all of you and I'd like to give you all a collective virtual hug. It will be over soon and then we'll know how to continue. ?

I think it's best to go about our lives as if we got a rejection. It's not as if most of our best decisions will change much for the next few months, regardless of their response. Let's be gentle with ourselves and remember that our lives have values and joys regardless of our position or lack thereof in the OISE APHD MEd OT GPP DD OO LAGKASJGAA program. xoxo ❤️

Hey thanks for sharing this.. and i know it can be frustrating when you're waiting for one program and you just don't hear back --- regardless good or bad... but based on this; if you've submitted your application before/on Nov 16; you should hear back tmrw (since it is the last day of march)... unless COVID has delayed the whole thing ... uggh this so frustrating .. but good luck to all of us tmrw! Hopefully we hear some good news

I still haven't received official rejection  from OISE SCCP. My status of application is still " Under Review". Has anyone received official rejection from OISE SCCP?

Some quick facts about my application
My GPA wasn't so great but I hope that offers some hope for people applying! I also didn't major in psychology but had enough courses to be treated as equal. I did better in my last year but honestly it wasn't that competitive. I did, however, have many publications and conference presentations/posters. I work at two different hospitals and a lab at UofT. My three references were all professors with two of them being child and adolescent clinicians: a psychiatrist and psychologist. I think it was my referees, letter of intent, and CV that made up for my marks

hiiii all, v random but please message me if you'd like to chat about starting a program in the fall, moving (?!?!), the frustration of applying multiple times, anything you want, but /especially/ imposter syndrome ? i wanted to put it out there since this is such a competitive program where it may seem that the odds are stacked against us, and it's so so easy to let setbacks make us forget how capable and deserving we are. i'm definitely feeling this way even as i start a new and super exciting chapter of my life, and i'm sending love to anyone else that is too ❤️

Nothing! Today marks the deadline for those to accept when they were admitted on March 4th. Hopefully that gets things moving along. 

Hey guys I have good news... someone from OISE basically said that if you haven't received an acceptance or been waitlisted it's not necessarily bad news. They said some applications take longer to review. Also, because letters and things like that take a while to produce they send them out in chunks. So I hope that's good news for everyone lol

i wanted to give the heart to your post but i used up all my reaction for today (yeh funny that they got a limit on it). Just want you to know that you are not alone and it's okay to feel lost. fingers crossed for you.

I also received my acceptance from McGill in the Project steam! I will likely be declining because I have an offer from my first choice program, so hopefully that frees up a spot for someone on the waitlist  And please feel free to DM me for the POI!
