  1. I haven't heard anything!! I called them on Monday and she said that some rejections have gone out so it's a good sign that I didn't get rejected yet and they are still considering my application but that's all she could tell me and couldn't tell me when I'd hear more. She also said it usually takes 4-6 weeks for the department to make a decision once they have your application but she said they had my application on 2/9 and 6 weeks is technically today so I guess that's not true . I am so stressed out because my husband has a job offer on the table and whether he takes it or not all depends on if I am starting school in the fall so this waiting is really torture lol. Hope this helps and good luck to you too!
  2. Oh that's great that you completed the post-bacc, my plan if I don't get in is to complete the post-bacc, get some relevant work and try again to show some improvement because my undergrad GPA is so low. It stresses me out because my GPA in grad school was a 3.96 so I hope they take that into account. We'll see! Good luck!!!!
  3. I am in the middle of the post bacc program, took three classes in fall and got a 3.7 GPA, would have been higher but I was going through chemo for breast cancer so I hope they take that into consideration. Have you heard anything from WPU? Also good luck to you!!
  4. Anyone on here an older applicant that doesn't have a background in speech? I am doing a complete career change, in fact I already have a masters degree in an unrelated field and have 15 years experience in that field. I was wondering if there is anyone out there like me. I only applied to Montclair State and William Paterson because I live in NJ and have two kids and am unable to relocate so I don't have a ton of options and am super nervous.
  5. Hi all - I don't have a 3.0 GPA in undergrad (although I have my masters in a different field and have a 3.98 GPA there) so I asked someone at the grad school about the admissions process and have copied and pasted their response. I'm wondering if you all meet the admission requirements as stated below as I received the same email as you and was hoping they passed me through because of my 3.98 in Grad School. The Admission Committee considers all things, however, because you don't have the 3.0 in the undergraduate degree, your application will be considered as having two out of the three requirements (two GRE scores, if you get them) but missing the GPA score. Your application will be held back by The Graduate School until we have reviewed all of those with the 3 out of 3 requirements. Thanks! Cristina
