Congrats again! It must feel really good to finally have it!

I called a few hours ago. I wasn’t going to but it was driving me crazy. They said my application is still under review. I tried  to ask when they will have all the results in but I loss cell connection. She was really nice though and understood the frustration. I would call her if I were you. They are there to help!

For those of us that haven't heard back hopefully we hear back this week with admissions decisions!

Hey! I’m going to UW’s program. I’m a transfer from Pitt & I chose UW because of the reputation (& all my friends are in Seattle. I did my undergrad there).  
 
At the the end of the day, I don’t think rankings should determine where you go, but rather where you’ll be happy. You can always put down a deposit for BU and then decide later. I had to do that since UW didn’t release acceptances until later /:

Yup, this section for me says "congratulations on being accepted", I think it appeared close in proximity to my e-mail. 

It seems like they're sending out decisions at 11am - or at least thats the time stamp from everyone that has heard back. 

I feel like regardless of which school we all end up at, we *have* to get together in August for beers to commemorate our journey together ?

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share I got accepted to BU and BC this morning! Officially choosing UPENN as I received the highest award!

I just checked the website and they’re open today! Here’s hoping!

I wonder if they’re going to let everyone know throughout the week or send out decisions on a specific day. 

Did your email just come as a generated one from BC? Or was it more professional looking. Just wanted to know what to look for

That’s what the lady told me that it said under review. On the agora portal it says, look forward to reviewing your application. Sorry I said that wrong.

That does sound awful. I feel for you though - it's hard to say no to something you've wanted for such a long time. You just gotta look out for future you! But it sounds like you know that.
I'm sorry UChicago didn't give you enough aid to make it a viable option. It occurs to me now that you might be able to get them to increase your scholarship if you ask - I think I've read elsewhere that people have had success with that.

Hey Everyone! I have been silently watching this page to see when decisions were coming out lol. Just thought I'd share that I received an acceptance from Columbia for their traditional 2-year program yesterday around 5:30pm EST. I applied on 2/02 but they received everything on 2/20. I am also non-priority. So it was exactly one month from when they received my application that I got notified. Hope this helped a little! Good luck everyone see you in the Fall!

Amen to all of this. The year of attending your dream school is really just play time, because you learn the same material at any other school. Really, really, expensive play time.

Truthfully, I don’t think any MSW program, even a particularly well-regarded one, is worth going 100k into debt for (I know they call it something different but I’m trusting what I’ve read which is that it’s equivalent to an MSW). You have to think about the debt versus what you’d be making, especially starting out. I know there are loan forgiveness programs and whatnot, but I also feel like that doesn’t give you much flexibility in terms of your career. As someone who went into a lot of debt to go to a fancy private school for undergrad, I have to be especially frugal. But honestly it blows my mind when people say that they’re seriously considering taking out that much in loans. That’s like a mortgage. It’s wild.

You're welcome! Thank you for the encouragement; I definitely plan to reapply to MSW programs if this year doesn't work out like I had hoped. I just need to get some more experience!
