    @sirTintin Does this finalize everything do they make you sign a contract after? Has a company reached out to you as well?

    @Mataharii Congratulations on getting accepted to schools! Did any of the schools give you a contract? I assume positions requiring background checks picked their Fellows due to someone failing then they have enough time to pick someone else

    @K Alex from the frequent questions pdf: Q10: When will I hear if I received a full GEM Fellowship? A10: The GEM Fellowship is a rolling Selection process. A handful of candidates have been Selected already. We expect selections to continue until mid-February. We will send a final decline notice out by March 15, 2019. Please stay engaged via email and your eGEM status page for notifications. I think they will send out the majority of rejection letters on March 15th but a few people will could still be in the running after if a company has not selected all GEM Fellows

    Let me know if this happened to anyone else.... So when you filled out the application some application asked if I had a fellowship so I selected GEM but others did not. So then my question will be how would that specific department know that we need funding for the fellowship?

    @BGMFG Do not loose hope!!! It is not over until you receive an email stating that it is! For ones that have been accepted to a graduate program, did the school email you and then did this appear in egem or did you check egem and it was changed without an acceptance email?

    After sending the email one of the GEM reps sent my response to the admission committees and its my top choice fingers crossed

    @Moods That is what I am thinking as well. I just hope that I get in to a program ya know, I have not had an interview yet I am getting a little nervous but school accept PhD candidates without interviews right?

    Does anybody know how many GEM Fellows are accepted per school? I assume it depends on funding so do larger schools accept more?

    @sirTintin That is great! I went through GEM thinking that they will respond? Just so everyone knows, I did go through GEM website to contact the GEM rep and I did here back from the rep a day later stating the same thing as sirTitin! Best of luck to everyone!

    @sirTintin Did you send the email through GEM or did you get the email from GEM and used a personal email?

    @K Alex Sorry I should have been a little more clear, updated it and sent it to the schools that I have not applied to yet. I applied to one school before getting selected and I just contacted the gem rep and uploaded a statement on the application under misc.

    @Moods I would contact the GEM rep and ask them how to proceed they may have a better understanding of what to do. Well at least I would hope so. They could always contact the department or give you their information to contact them. The only fear that I have with contact specific departments is that they may not know what the GEM Fellowship is.

    @LetsGetThisBread @Moods I would defiantly contact the rep! I would mention that you have been selected by a company x but I dont know if you are considered yet to be a full fellow yet due to not getting accepted yet by a university. I would defiantly contact them thought, the worst that will happen is that they ignore you email. What I did once I found out that I was selected by a company is that I put that in my personal statement

    @becs_granola They sent out an email about a two weeks ago, you should have received it if a company sponsored you.

    @becs_granola You can send your transcripts now if an employer has selected you, It will say 0 transcripts received or so. There was an email sent out a couple weeks ago with information on how to upload a photo, the photo probably just goes on their website with the others. Your employer should be sending you forms. There is also a call even tomorrow if you received the email with the information.
