I got a call from Vicki a few hours ago to be offered a spot at U of A! 
I thought they wouldn’t be contacting waitlist before April 30th but I guess that’s not the case!!!

I just received a call from Western for an offer which I accepted! I'm so happy!

What worked for me to get onto a couple of wait lists (Western and U of A) for this year since last year was working on increasing my GPA, and also my volunteer hours in an SLP related field. I didn't apply to UBC though, so I can't speak for that  . goodluck!

Just declined my offers to Western and Dalhousie. Likely also going to decline my UofA offer in the next few days!

Hi friends! People who are rejecting their offers should remember to post in this group too so that people on waitlists can track the progress!

Does anybody know, perhaps from speaking with people who applied in previous years, how fast schools tend to go through the waitlist? It's promising that since many of us have applied to several schools and we can only accept one, being on the waitlist can actually lead to acceptance. I'm wondering if for ON schools, whether we can find out if we have been taken off the waitlist BEFORE April 16th or more likely after. 

Just got into UT & western (waitlisted at Mac). Will be most likely be taking my spot for u of t so that should open up a spot at western and hopefully move some people up on the wait list at McMaster! Best of luck guys~

Please post here if you are DECLINING your acceptance OR waitlist position at a school. This will HELP people get a better idea of their situation! Thanks to everyone who participates! I don't think so. If I understood correctly, the email stated we are already on the wait list. and if a spot becomes available for you they'll call you to see if you want to take it. 

I was accepted at U of A and Western and wait listed at McGill and U of T. I will be accepting at U of A so I hope that opens up some wait list space & helps at least 1 person out  

I will be declining my offer at Western so hopefully that opens up a spot for you

Goodluck next year! It pays off to improve your application. I was in the same boat last year with 4 rejections and this year I'm waitlisted at 2/4. So it definitely pays off

I hear you. Feeling very discouraged, but trying to stay hopeful as I am waitlisted at Western and U of A. Are you wait listed anywhere?

I was accepted at Western but not even offered a waitlist position at U of T. I also not receive waitlist for a McMaster interview. It must have been very competitive this year! Congrats to those accepted and good luck to those on the waitlist!

I don't think that is how it works... Last year I got a rejection letter around 10:45 pm on March 29th. But I'm not sure if that means that no wait list or acceptance letters were sent after that time.
