  1. I'm a first year grad student and I got invited to interview at Emerson. I didn't end up choosing to go there, but I'm more than happy to chat about their interview (or just interviews in general). Emerson's interview was different from all the other schools I did interviews. They asked me nothing related to speech pathology and asked the most obscure questions. Feel free to message me if you want more info!
  2. I'm not 100% sure how long it takes but I took mine the beginning of November last year and there were no problems!
  3. Is there an accepted students facebook page for BU?
  4. @MC15 I really wish I could have gone to the open house but I don't go to school near Boston and I already made the trip up for the interviews, so I couldn't really afford to go up again. I am also easily influenced by other people's posts. So I am leaning towards BU, but when I see people post good things about NEU I start to second guess myself. And I applied to 9 schools thinking I wouldn't even get into one of them. It's a nice problem to have not knowing where to go, but I am also super indecisive to the point I wish I only got into NEU or BU. I just need someone to tell me what to do.
  5. @MC15 I am kind of feeling the same way but for BU. I unfortunately was unable to attend the open houses, but I did my interview in person for both schools so I was able to get a tour/feel of the individual schools. When I went to BU for my interview, I just loved it a lot more than when I interviewed at NEU or Emerson. I'm in the same boat where I've made a pros and cons list for each school and my pros list is definitely longer for BU, but something about NEU does not want me to let go. My friends keep telling me that every time I say something good about BU, I feel like I have to say something good about NEU. I've talked to students from both programs and a lot of people keep saying the reason they chose xyz school is because it is in Boston and the clinical opportunities, but that is not useful for someone who is choosing between two Boston schools. There is no wrong choice here, but what is the right choice??? (April 15th is approaching quicker than I want it to)
  6. I am in the same boat. I am between BU and Northeastern and I have no idea what I want to do. I honestly switch between the two everyday. Do you have any idea which way you are leaning?
  7. Did anyone go to BU's open house?
  8. I just received an email from Temple
  9. I got into my top 2 grad programs: BU and Northeastern! I am super excited and grateful; however, I hate making decisions and I am super indecisive. If anyone has any information on either of the schools, it would be greatly appreciated. I am interested in pediatrics (specifically literacy or autism), but really anything with kids! I am so torn on what to do because I could be happy at either place, but what is the better decision?
  10. I got accepted to BU and I am over the moon! It was my top choice, but now my worries of affording it are starting to kick in. For anyone who has any advice about paying for BU/grad school in general, I would greatly appreciate it. I was also wondering why BU is so much more expensive than other schools? Is there something they offer that other programs don't?
  11. For the people who received a scholarship, was it stated in the email or was there another place they told you?
  12. Wow, this actually helped so much. Thank you!
  13. Hey. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on in-person vs Skype interviews. I was originally leaning towards Skype, but the more I think about it I feel like in person is a lot better. Please help!
  14. Okay, thank you so much!!! Congrats on your acceptance!
  15. Hi, when did you submit your application to UMD? I also applied there and was wondering what their turn around time is/when I should be hearing back.
