    Question: I've officially accepted one of my offers and I was notified of the funding package. It's decent but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about or thought about considering a grad loan to live more comfortably? Pros/cons? I don't have any undergrad loans so I don't think it would hurt me too much but I'm still indecisive. PS - Congrats to everyone who was accepted and good luck to those still waiting!!

    I'm still waiting to hear back from Michigan State but I've assumed it's a rejection at this point.

    Should we contact our POI or program coordinator/admin for application status? I’ve called the admin twice and she hasn’t picked up either time.

    I know exactly how you feel. I am also feeling extremely embarrassed because I was really confident going in but now I’m a bit more nervous. I have only heard from two programs which I was waitlisted at. At this point, my hopes aren’t very high. I don’t really want to go to a masters program first but I’m beginning to consider it.

    Thanks everyone for the advice on interview questions!! On another note, has anyone heard from Michigan State’s Organizational Psych PhD program? I don’t see anything posted in results but they typically sent out notifications early January the past few years.

    Question: What’s the appropriate way to reach out to a POI & ask your position on the waitlist or is this inappropriate? We spoke over the phone where I was informed I was on the waitlist and I was told to reach back out if I had any other questions.

    Does anyone know if there is hope getting accepted off of the waitlist? I had a phone interview with Wayne State (IO) and my POI said I was on the “short list”? I’m not even sure what the means exactly. I assume that means waitlist but does anyone know the difference between the two? ?

    I just got a phone call from my POI at Wayne State and he basically told me I was waitlisted but close to the top of the list. I haven’t heard from any other programs yet but I’m overly anxious and stressed out just thinking about the entire process right now?

    I'm in the exact same boat. I sent my scores a while ago and two schools are saying they have not received them. Did you call the admissions office to see if they were sent to the wrong department by accident? I just called for one program and the admissions office asked me to email a PDF report and they would mark it complete. Best of luck!!

    Can someone tell me what to expect during a preliminary/phone interview? I haven't gotten invited to one just yet but I'd like to know what type of questions I should start preparing for while I anxiously await for an invite. ?

    I'm not sure how accurate this information is but I was told that most schools are lenient and give a grace period for GRE score submissions because these are not sent by the applicant and there can be mixups with ETS/admissions office. Again, I'm not sure how accurate this is but this is what I was told by a professor and a few others applying.

    Do you know if it matters if the school doesn't receive the official GRE report by the application due date even there was an unofficial report submitted with your app?

    Has anyone ever heard of someone getting rejected from every school they've applied to? I'm applying to nine IO programs (all phd) with mediocre GRE score (V&Q, not AWA) but high GPA, great LOR, and 2 years of research but I'm nervous my GRE will get me rejected. ?
