  1. The only rejections I got are from a batch of applications that were stuck on dates in May. The rest of the applications has been updated from beginning of June to 1 July, and I still haven’t had any email notification about that batch. I hope this means someone accessed my applications recently and I’m still under consideration! ?
  2. Thank you I have 3 updated with very recent dates - 1 July, 26 June and 25 June respectively. Other ones are stuck on 11, 9, 8 June. I wish they would be more clear about what these dates actually mean LOL! So far, the rejections I received are from applications that were stuck on update dates in May. Is it the same for you?
  3. Application for this post jumped to the top on my job list page, shows 4 July as last update and the withdraw option disappeared.
  4. Just received another rejection, from the Office of the Secretary General - Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security. Any of you getting emails as well in these minutes?
  5. Yes of course I'm not saying I'm the best of everyone ahaha But still I thought that my profile could catch their attention somehow. You never finish learning in life LOL Same happened to me. The applications I was rejected for, don't show the witdraw option anymore. I still have many applications underway though, some of them inside the Political Affairs Division which I'm really hoping for. Have your applications been updated as well? Do they show recent dates? It's my first time applying so I have no idea how it works. Can I also ask you what's your background, if you don't mind? So I can have an idea of the other people who are in my same boat LOL thank you! Isma

    New York, NY

Hi! I know the struggle. I was an intern at the United Nations HQ in Manhattan not a long ago, and the house search got me crazy. I was also robbed of my deposit once. I found my final flat through some friends at the United Nations. I still have the contact of the landlord, a very nice and honest person, and he owns a whole building. But it's inside Manhattan, between Midtown East and UES (44th and 1st if I rember well), and he only has studios to rent. I don't know if that's an option for you. Let me know anyways if you want me to give you the contact. Cheers, Isma
  7. Hi! I did my Masters at LSE, Comparative Politics in the depatment of Government, academic year 2015 - 2016. I also had an interest in security. The good thing about LSE is that you are very free in the choice of modules and courses you want to include in your Master, so I was able to space from counter-terrorism to international migration management to political economy. I have a lot of different interests so that was ideal for me. Befoire graduating, I was selected for an internship with the UN HQ in NYC, at the counter-terrorism office. Afterwards, I went on to be a Blue Book trainee at the European Commission in institutional communications (I also have a BA in communications). Now I got back to security, and I'm interning at OSCE Mission in Kosovo, delaing indeed with security and public safety. When I apllied I also received an offer from Cambridge University for their Master in IR, but I chose LSE basing my decision on world university rankings for IR/politics (LSE is always higher than Cambridge). I still don't regret it and, at 25 years old and after not even 2 years from my graduation, I think results are fairly gooid and LSE opened me a lot of doors! Plus the year at LSE was so much fun! Good luck with your choice. Cheers, Isma
  8. I did my Master of Science at the London School of Economics in London (academic year 2015-2016), not IR but comparative politics (department of government). My dream career is to be an international civil servant. Before graduating, I have been selected for an internship at UN HQ in NYC, department of political affairs. Aftwerwards, I did a traineeship (Blue Book) in the European Commission in institutional communications, and I am now an intern at OSCE Mission in Kosovo dealing with security and public safety. So far, at age 25 and less than 2 years after my graduation, results are not that bad I guess. LSE is definitely good in opening you doors. I have friends who chose Sciences Po Paris and they are having professional experiences similar to mine, so Sciences Po is also a very good option. Best of luck for your future endeavors! Cheers, Isma
  9. I just checked this morning and I have 3 applications with very recent update dates - 1 July, 26 June and 25 June. Plus other 9 applications with dates that go from early to half June. I hope at least one of the three recent ones is still considering to interview me!!
  10. Hello!! Indeed I think they are a bit late. I got my first 2 email rejections an hour ago, as many others. I know some other people got interviews today as well, so the process is very much underway. I applied to so many posts I hope I will get at least one! ? I also see changes in my applications: some of them show recent dates, like 1 July or end of June, while others are stuck on May. I think this means I’m being considered for some positions but for others the choice has already been made - and it’s not me. Any other news or interpretations of what might be happening? Thank you!!! Isma
  11. Hello! Some of my applications have updated dates as well. I got no interviews so far. Does it mean that they’re shortlisting me anyways when the date changes? Got rejected for 2 positions today, but I still have many with June as last modification date, so are they considering me? First time applying and this is so confusing
  12. Second email rejection in few minutes - Joint Intelligence and Security Division. Not successful. I haven’t been interviewed so far and I’m afraid all the emails I’ll get will be rejections at this point SIGH! Very disappointing, I thought I was super qualified for NATO and I was 100% sure to get at least one place. Life can be unexpected LOL
  13. Same email here from Cooperative Security Division - not successful. First rejection email. But I applied to so many, I just have to wait for the other ones!! So stressful
  14. Some of mine changed dates as well! 3 - 4 of them have dates like 25 June, 26 June and even 1 July! I wonder what that means. I haven’t been interviewed by anyone so far though!! What is happening LOL
  15. @paulojrv Hi! I applied to NATO internships as well this year, and to that same division, among others. I interned at United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office in NYC already, hence my choice Did you hear back from them? Have you been shortlisted? I am currently working with OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Department of Security and Public Safety, but I'll finish in 6 months. I haven't heard anything yet, and it's quite stressful to just sit and wait like this LOL! Thanks
  16. Hello everyone! I'm new here I signed up to check if there's anyone out there who applied for the 2018 NATO internship program. I applied in May and still haven't heard back. I hold a Master degree form LSE in London, and multiple internship experiences with the UN in NYC (Counter Terrorism Office) and with the European Commission in Brussels (Blue Book Traineeship). I'm now interning at OSCE Mission in Kosovo (Department of Security and Public Safety), in Pristina, and I will be here for the next 6 months. NATO recruiters don't know I am in Kosovo, because at the time of the application I didn't have the internship offer yet. I have close friends interning at NATO at the moment, and they told me the recruitment process is often slow. Also, I haven't received any refusal email yet. Anyone out there still waiting? And what are the chances I will get it? Thanks! Cheers, Isma
  17. A few years ago I got IR at Cambridge and Comparative Politics at LSE. Chose the latter, simply because LSE is higher on the world university rankings for politics/IR. No regrets
  18. Hello everyone! :)

  19. In the emails I got after applying they said they will inform of the selction outcome also people who are not shortlisted. And my friends who applied last session confirmed: one of them was selected and of course he was notified, but another friend was not successful and they informed her via email anyways (dear candidate, you have not been selected etc...). Even on the NATO website, they say they will notify candidates who have not been shortlisted (https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/72041.htm, see table at the end of the page).
  20. Where did you read they're done with the selection procedure? I cannot find it! Thank you
