  1. No question is a dumb question. Yes, you can take more classes/courses without an additional fee. The benefit is just making full use of your time there given it is just 9 months. Credits vary between 2 and 4 usually but depends on course to course.
  2. I have the exact same question. Where does the Impact Award come from? Was there a separate application?
  3. Is anyone making a tough choice between IEDP at UPenn and IEP at HGSE? The UPenn being a longer-term program with the embedded international internship seems enticing to me, but then giving up Harvard is not easy. It comes with its own resources and network to tap on. Anyone any thoughts? I am making a shift from business consulting to education after 7 years of experience, so am more inclined to internships and longer program. Does that help with jobs? Note, at the same time I also have 8 years of educational pro bono and voluntary experience across non-profits and corporates.
  4. Hello all, I am in the same boat as yours and utterly confused between the IEDP at Penn and IEP at HGSE. Still awaiting the financial aspects but let us leave that aside for a while, which of the two did you eventually chose and why? The international internship at Penn is a big draw for me and the fact that I am switching from business consulting to education after 7 years of experience, so an 18-month program makes sense versus a 9-month at Harvard. I have been consistently leading pro bono and voluntary educational initiatives with my business consulting job.
  5. I am facing the same dilemma. Can anyone of you share what you chose and how it worked?
  6. If you are targeting this year, then Europe has the application period open. Not sure of the other places. I only applied to the US, few programs such as UPenn, George Washington, Columbia, NY should have admissions open. They accept rolling applications.
  7. In the next 2-3 weeks, we should have the details.
  8. Congratulations to all who could make it. Those who couldn't there is surely something better waiting for you in the pipeline. All the very best for it! Is there anyone who is confused between the IEDP at UPenn and the IEP at HGSE program? I have been admitted to both but am utterly confused. As of now, I am more inclined to the Penn program given that it offers the internship and is an 18-month program versus the 9-month at Harvard. But it is still a tough choice to make.
  9. I have applied. As far as I know, not everyone gets an interview call. I mean one can be selected even without the interview.
  10. That's a relief. thanks for checking.
  11. Congrats I currently only know of the bigger and thus more common ones - Inlaks, Aga Khan, World Bank, and PEO Int. Peace scholarship for women. Let me know if you find anything.
  12. All the best. They usually take 4-6 weeks!
  13. Anyone applied/accepted to the IEDP masters program at UPenn? I am looking for external scholarship options because have received only $13k in merit scholarships. The fellowship results of 100% scholarship are not out until the decision due date. I have also received a good scholarship for IEPM at Vanderbilt but Penn is the preferred choice. Any thoughts?
  14. Are there university-specific threads to meet prospective students who have been admitted for Fall 2019?
  15. Hello! Is there anyone here who has applied to the masters in International Education or similar ed courses for Fall 2019?
  16. Is there anyone who has applied to the IED masters program at TC?
  17. That's great! No, I have not heard back so far. Results are usually out in the first week of March. I am also currently waiting for IEDP UPenn, SSCE at UCLA, and IED at TC, Columbia. Did anyone hear from any of these?
  18. Is there anyone who has applied to a masters in International Education or related fields? Which are the colleges/universities you have targeted?
  19. Hello, everyone! Are there interviews for the Ed.M IEP program? As far as I know, there are none.
  20. Is there anyone who has applied to a masters in International Education or related fields? Which are the colleges/universities you have targeted?
  21. What did you choose? I have also been accepted to MPA at MIIS.
  22. Hi all, I'm applying to the Fall 2019 masters programs in international education. GRE: VA - 154, QA - 165, AWA - 4 TOEFL: 110/120 GPA: 3.91/4.00 (Physics Honors) Work Ex: 6+ years in global consulting Pro-Bono/Voluntary experience (parallel to my full-time work ex): 7+ years in Education, including leading the Corporate Social Responsibility engagements at my firm for 5+ years now. I'm leading the engagements with a learning center close to work, and have designed 3 programs - Math/Science remedial, English presentation, and Career Counseling. Masters Programs I'm applying for fall 2019: IEP at HGSE, IEDP at UPenn, IEPM at Vanderbilt, International Education (George Washington University), SSCE at UCLA, MPA at MIIS (Middlebury). I know it is a long list. I am also considering IED at TC (should I? Have not heard good reviews) and International Education at NYU Steinhardt (again, should I? No funding for International students). For both TC and NYU have heard that faculty is not that approachable and TAs take most of the classes. Can anyone shed some light? Also, can someone talk about the George Washington experience? I am yet to submit my application for all these and they are due in another week or two. I have been accepted for the MPA at MIIS with Spanish as my language. I know this is not as big as the reputed ones, but the program looks very promising in terms of curriculum, faculty, and above all the professional and language focus for an international career. Anyone anything?
  23. 3 years since this post. Anyone still active here? Can anyone offer insights as to which program in international education is better in terms of job prospects?
