  1. I dk about all the schools you listed but for Kings you can apply. If accepted they will give you an offer conditional upon actually graduating. Best of luck!
  2. Congratulations to everyone who has received offers to their choice schools!!! Happy for each of you! And to those who are still waiting...self care and best wishes! But mostly I wanted to post to those who have received a rejection. How disappointing! And Im sorry! But please please recognize this doesnt reflect on you as a person! Once you have processed, then I hope you can view it as an opportunity...an opportunity for a different direction for 2019/2020. You each have shown tremendous dedication and hardwork to get to this point. Please celebrate your successes! Cast your mind over feel good moments of the past and recognize the value you each have! Do not let this affect mental wellness which is far more important than school. Cheering you each on to whatever the next year holds! Be mindful. Be present. Love yourself. Enjoy the spring!
  3. Thanks for your response! I am just finishinh my hbsw and immediately prior did my ssw diploma so it has been a longtime since I was able to work fulltime excepting summers so I have zero savings. And lots of months I hit up the food bank too so I may have to wait. King's sadly does not let you drfer so I would need to reapply. Well who knows. Maybe I will get rich over the summer lol unlikely. On the bright side if I cant think of something or osap doesnt up their money, then relinguishing my spot gives someone else a place! We all have our "time" still gonna bask in the fact Western chose me however lol
  4. Sigh. Reality is raining on my parade. I cant figure out a way to pay for a more expensive place to move to go to Western.(my rent now is sweet deal) nvm school and life. Of course I will apply to osap but doing the "what you may get" trial there isnt enough money. How is everyone else paying for their Masters? I may have to wait a year and work and save.
  5. I tried to post relevant placement opportunities screenshot but its too big to load. For me I meant there are opps that meet my personal goals. However King's does say they offer over 300 placements and cover all areas I can think of anyway. Google their placement oppotunities and a few choices down is a chart with categories of msw placements.ie govt, hospital, etc Also connect with their fb page and you will see selection of agencies that attend their placement open house. Their "viewbook" also holds placement info to glean although I found that onerous to sift through. In addition you can propose your own although there are parameters to meet.
  6. I chose King's for a couple of reasons. First it's clinical nature. Also electives offered, professors interests, small class size, and stated opportunities for engagement. I also feel London offers some new placement opportunities. I dont live in London so will have to move, but I feel with 4 placements Ive had (SSW Diploma and now HBSW) I have already had what I consider the best placements for me in my current location. The rest is "gut". I read everything I could find on all relevant schools, and found King's an excellent fit. I want a msw but more.I want "my" msw - the education I need to prepare me for my goals. Only finding and then applying to 1 program that suited me was scary though lol
  7. Just received an emailed offer from 1 yr Advanced MSW from King's! I was waitlisted so the waitlist moves! They said it would be a couple of day's before the student portal changes however. Happy!
  8. I too am wondering and hoping...for the 1 yr advanced...I only applied to King's since it is the 1 I want...all my eggs lol
  9. I too am wondering and hoping...for the 1 yr advanced...I only applied to King's since it is the 1 I want...all my eggs lol..however I am waitlisted. Disappointed but not really surprised as I feel my supplemental questions were sub par..I was dealing with alot of grief when I wrote it and pretty far off my game I feel although I think the rest was solid...however even knowing that I cant stop hoping and checking! Im still going to plan to move to London this summer and hopefully work in sw with my hbsw and rock their application next year! Positive thinking ?
  10. Does anyone have any idea how large the waitlist is at King's. Is it everyone who met the eligibility criteria, in ranked order I assume..or do they cap the waitlist size?
  11. I'm a little confused about the msw application process. Do we need to apply through the Ont University Application site AND each individual university? And then they link? Does this mean the application fee is per university? Some of the school websites seem to suggest this while others do not. Any clarification is much appreciated!
