  1. you can def get in, just make sure to apply to schools that accept people at a large with your stats. be practical, dont be like some people who have a 3.0 gpa and you apply to schools where the majority going there are 4.0, stick with where you know you have a chance. I had a similar situation as you, but my experience and paper made up for it. i got in to my top school and i love it. also a program is a program, dont get caught up in names. go where its cheapest and save money. good luck
  2. I went to UNCG for my undergrad but not for speech but for another degree. Im going to NCCU this fall however for speech. Ask me any quesitons you have.
  3. oh so you attending now? or you will attend in the fall semester? would love to talk to you if you currently go there!
  4. i didnt know that. thanks for clarifying. will you be attending?
  5. yup i applied to one school too and got in. they focus on multicultural populations which is right up my alley. if you have the stats, good references, pray about it and write a bomb essay and good experience you have a good chance ( and i didnt have the best gpa)
  6. If its like student housing ( roomates) ive seen places around 550. Im not too sure. BUt the area is good. I live in the area although. Let me know if you have any questions.
  7. will you be living in NC indpendently? cause you can find pretty cheap housing, the jobs are plentiful. and central is reasonably priced. good luck in your decision.
  8. lol no, i was just wondering cause ive never seen an acceptance letter worded that way. and yes, i would email them about it. whats the worst thing they can say?
  9. ^^^^ yes it is. a quick question. did yalls leter say " admitted unconditionally?"
  10. I got accepted and will be an eagle this fall!!!!
  11. i think their slightly organized, so i wouldnt put too much into it
  12. Just got an email saying that they are reviewing applications and that they will inform us of decisions in March.
  13. Im not sure how they do financial aid with their acceptances. Good luck you guys. Hoping we all get in and will see each other this fall
  14. Yes maam I did. It said something like, "Thank you for submitting your application". Ive been looking constantly even though its only been about 2.5 weeks lol. I just see that my application is "complete" and has been "submitted".
  15. Its cheaper and i like the multicultural emphasis. youre right about the loans.
  16. thanks! good luck to you. what made you choose nccu? i dont have the best stats but i am taking prereqs this year and hoping that my statement and reference letters will get me into the program.
  17. I think by March they should let us know. On the results site it looks like the earliest people knew was late February and the latest like early April. So b/w late Feb and early April would be my guess.
  18. There is somewhere on the website where it says, "applicants may or may not be considered if its past the deadline". I would try anyway and contact graduate admissions along with the program. good luck
  19. I am in school out of state. I would recommend staying IN STATE. it is very expensive! Unless you have a way of getting free money of course.
  20. yes im from the area . from what i've heard things can be disorganized, but overall the program is good. for me its about price, and nccu is reasonable! i think you will like the are if you are accepted. raleigh-durham area is cheap, nice living ( depending where you are of course lmao) and theres lots to do in raleigh!
  21. Its the only school Ive applied to. I know, pretty crazy right? The program is actually very good though. If they accept me, I will absolutley go. The price isnt too bad, and I like that they have a focus on multicultural populations. Your stats are very good. I'm sure you'll get in! Good luck . I see that you have UNC as well. North Carolina has lots of great schools.
  22. Anyone here applied to NCCU? I just applied. Good luck to everyone
