Hi. I genuinely can’t stop checking my email every other minute and checking the results forum on this site. I think it’s about time we start a thread on productive ways to respond to this stress as applicants to doctoral programs in psych. I’ll go first. I started reading “The girl with the dragon tattoo” and I made a poster that isn’t due till April.

The vast majority, if not all, of counseling psych PhD programs emphasize multicultural issues and cultural competency. Of the clinical psych PhD programs that have a focus on research that serve ethnic minority populations, I’d look at UCLA, Arizona State University, George Washington University, Catholic University, UNC at Chapel Hill, CUNY, & Loyola University Chicago. Loyola has such a strong focus on diversity, they have specific web pages on faculty that have interests serving marginalized populations. I hope this helps!

Hi everyone! Long time reader, first time poster. I called UNC at Chapel Hill's Clinical Psych department to see if I could get a confirmation that my GRE scores were sent since the applicant portal showed me they were incomplete (despite what ETS shows me online). The graduate admissions coordinator reassured me that it was fine if the score comes through after the Dec. 1st deadline! She told me not to worry! She said with a high volume of applicants at the moment it will take the system a while before it goes through. Hope that helps anyone who is also applying to UNC
